A new report details how the Biden administration allowed an alarming number of Chinese illegal immigrants who posed a national security risk into the country. In March 2024, the number of Chinese illegal immigrants surged by nearly 8,000%, close to the presidential election. That surge was a huge security concern, according to former Department of Homeland Security acting deputy chief of staff Lora Ries.
Similarly, a recent sobering report detailed how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) planned to rig the 2024 election in favor of former President Joe Biden by creating Social Security Numbers and submitting fake mail-in ballots.
The Chinese threat on U.S. soil has greatly concerned security experts and legislators. In early June, authorities arrested two Chinese nationals who allegedly tried to smuggle an agricultural bioweapon into the country. The two face various charges, including conspiracy, smuggling, and visa fraud, raising concerns about their immigration status and intentions.
Chinese land acquisitions near strategic installations have also concerned defense experts. In 2023, the National Defense Authorization Act recommended more scrutiny into those acquisitions, although the then-pro-illegal immigration Biden administration did not take any concrete steps to address the issue.
On July 8, 2025, Trump’s U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Secretary, Brooke Rollins, banned the acquisition of U.S. farmland by adversaries, such as China. She also announced the “National Agriculture Security Action Plan” that would claw back the land purchased by America’s traditional adversaries, such as China, Russia, and Iran. However, a woke activist judge will likely issue a restraining order to halt the plan.
The recent illegal immigration crackdown that resulted in the deportation of 122 Chinese nationals has reignited fears about the national security threat posed by illegals from the communist nation. According to the DOJ, the deported illegal immigrants were repatriated to their homeland on a “special high-risk charter flight” due to the nature of the security risk they posed. Many were accused of murder, drug trafficking, sexual assault, and human smuggling.
Hot on the heels of these deportations, the DOJ charged seven Chinese nationals of operating a multi-million-dollar black market involved in drug smuggling, specifically marijuana.
“This case pulls back the curtain on a sprawling criminal enterprise that exploited our immigration system and our communities for personal gain,” said United States Attorney Leah B. Foley. “These defendants allegedly turned quiet homes across the Northeast into hubs for a criminal enterprise – building a multi-million-dollar black-market operation off the backs of an illegal workforce and using our neighborhoods as cover. That ends today.”
Of major concern is the fact that the criminal enterprise involved trafficking more Chinese undocumented immigrants through the U.S.-Mexico border to work on marijuana farms.
“Equally disturbing is that Jianxiong Chen – the accused ringleader of this organization – is charged with paying to smuggle a Chinese national across the Mexican border to work at his grow houses,” added Ted E. Docks, Special Agent in Charge of the FBI’s Boston Division.
“Data extracted from Chen’s cell phone allegedly revealed that he helped smuggle Chinese nationals into the United States – putting the aliens to work at one of the grow houses he controlled while keeping possession of their passports until they repaid him for the cost associated with smuggling them into the country,” the DOJ stated.
According to the DOJ, the proceeds of the alleged crimes were used to purchase luxury items, including homes, automobiles, and expensive watches.
It remains unclear if the black market enterprise was directly tied to the CCP. However, military-aged men rarely leave mainland China without the approval of the Communist government. A recent report also detailed how the Venezuelan regime uses the Tren de Aragua terrorist gang to destabilize the United States. The Chinese government is likely employing similar tactics to weaken the U.S. from within.
