12-Year-Old Illegal Alien Arrested in Two Armed Robberies

Florida authorities have arrested a 12-year-old illegal alien in connection with two violent armed robberies reported minutes apart in a Lee County neighborhood, incidents that left multiple juvenile victims shaken and prompted an immigration hold, as reported by The Gateway Pundit.

According to a report from local outlet Golfcoast News Now, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office responded on December 12 to two separate armed robbery calls in the area surrounding Schandler Hall Park.

Investigators identified the suspect as Pedro Luis, age 12.

Deputies said the first incident occurred at approximately 6:40 p.m. as a juvenile victim was walking from Schandler Hall Park to a friend’s house.

According to investigators, Luis allegedly jumped out of nearby bushes, pointed a knife at the victim, and demanded, “Give me your shoes.”

Authorities said the victim resisted and fled. While running away, the victim reported feeling an object strike their back before escaping the area. When the victim looked back moments later, the suspect was gone.

Just six minutes later, at around 6:46 p.m., deputies were called back to Schandler Hall Park for a second armed robbery believed to involve the same suspect.

In that incident, deputies said another juvenile victim reported that Luis approached them while riding a bicycle, brandished a knife, and threatened to stab them if they did not comply.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect stole a backpack valued at approximately $90.

Deputies said the backpack contained AirPods worth about $140, cologne valued at $150, a school-issued Dell laptop, along with cash and clothing totaling roughly $50.

Investigators said that following the robberies, Luis allegedly posted images on social media showing himself with the stolen backpack while partially covering his face. Authorities said the post was later deleted.

Both victims later positively identified Luis in a photo lineup, according to deputies.

On Friday, deputies arrested Luis at his residence and transported him to the Lee County Jail for processing.

Authorities confirmed that an immigration hold has been placed, notifying U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

ICE immigration holds are typically issued when an individual is believed to be unlawfully present in the United States or when a non-citizen’s legal status is expired, violated, or otherwise in question.

Luis is now facing two felony counts of armed robbery. The investigation remains ongoing, and authorities have not released additional details regarding how long the suspect has been in the United States or whether further charges may be filed.
