Dash Cam Footage Reveals ESPN Analyst’s Brutal Crash And Mounting Controversy [WATCH]

Newly released dashcam footage is providing a clearer look at the June 17 crash that left ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller with life-altering injuries, while a separate investigation involving allegations tied to fantasy football contests and charitable payments remains ongoing, as reported by Trending Politics News.

The video, obtained by The California Post and released Tuesday, shows Miller driving a blue 2023 Ford Bronco on a roadway in Jasper County, Missouri, at approximately 3:50 p.m. on June 17.

According to the footage, the Bronco suddenly crossed the centerline and entered the path of an oncoming semi-truck.

The truck driver appeared to take evasive action in an attempt to avoid the collision, but was unable to prevent the crash.

Photographs from the scene show Miller’s Bronco heavily damaged after leaving the roadway, skidding several yards, and coming to rest in a grassy area.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Miller was wearing his seat belt properly before the collision.

However, investigators said that “during the crash and due to the extensive damage” to the vehicle, the seat belt was cut, resulting in Miller being ejected from the Bronco.

A witness who was traveling behind Miller described what happened in a statement included in the crash report.

“I was leaving my sister’s house,” the witness said. “I might have been maybe 100 yards behind. I witnessed the Bronco just a hard swerve into the semi’s lane. The semi tried to swerve. It made contact. I haven’t ever seen a car explode like that. I ran to the Bronco, and there was no one in the vehicle. I heard groaning behind me.”

“I saw a man laying in the grass. I called 911.”

Following the collision, Miller suffered multiple serious injuries, according to a GoFundMe campaign established by his family.

The fundraiser stated that Miller sustained “a compound fracture of his left femur, a shattered left kneecap,” and “multiple broken ribs.”

It also stated that he “lost a significant amount of blood” and ultimately underwent an amputation of his left arm.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol identified the probable contributing circumstance in the crash as “improper lane usage/change” by Miller.

The report listed whether alcohol or marijuana played a role as “unknown.”

Investigators also reported that the semi-truck driver was not injured in the collision and was not under the influence of alcohol or marijuana.

Since the accident, Miller has publicly updated supporters on his condition.

On July 10, he announced on X that he had undergone multiple successful surgeries and would be stepping away from ESPN while continuing his recovery.

“Thank you to all for the prayers and thoughts; please keep them coming,” Miller wrote.

While the crash has generated widespread attention because of Miller’s injuries, it has also renewed public interest in separate allegations unrelated to the collision.

According to the report, several social media users have accused Miller of withholding prize money or failing to fully account for charitable funds connected to fantasy football contests and scouting-related payments.

Earlier this month, Awful Announcing reported that the Missouri Attorney General’s Office had opened an investigation into those complaints.

Miller has not publicly responded to the allegations.

The newly released dashcam footage has added additional attention to the June 17 collision as authorities continue documenting the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Meanwhile, Miller remains focused on recovering from his injuries after undergoing multiple surgeries, while the separate investigation involving the reported financial complaints continues.
