Big City Dem Mayor Says He Is “Optimistic” About Trump Border Policy
While many Democrats are shuddering at the thought of four more years of Donald Trump, one high-profile Democrat mayor (who definitely wants a pardon) is welcoming the change.
Eric Adams, Democrat mayor of New York City, says he is “optimistic” about illegal immigration under the Trump Administration.
When asked to condemn mass deportation, Adams would not do so.
Instead he reiterated that the broken immigration system has had a devastating impact on New York.
According to former acting Customs and Border Patrol Commissioner Mark Morgan, illegal immigration has cost New York City $5 billion over the past two years.
That number is expected to double by 2025.
Adams has been one of the few Democrats vocal about the dangers of mass illegal immigration.
It’s suspicious that he himself has become a target of investigations since he has spoken out against the Biden/Harris Administration.
It wouldn’t be surprising if Mayor Adams actually voted for Donald Trump at this point.
