Exposed: Sneaky GOP Senator Behind Pete Hegseth’s Last-Minute Domestic Abuse Allegation Identified

A few days to Pete Hegseth’s confirmation, which appeared to be (and was) on the right track, an actor emerged from the blues with explosive allegations of domestic abuse.

Colleagues and friends, including his ex-wife, the alleged victim of his spousal abuse, rushed to defend him and point out the oddity of the allegations.

The allegations stemmed from Hegseth’s former sister-in-law, Danielle Hegseth, who signed an affidavit stating that his wife lived in fear for her safety. It claimed that Hegseth’s former marriage had “instances of abuse” and “mistreatment of a former spouse.”

Nonetheless, Hegseth’s ex-wife Samantha categorically stated, “There was no physical abuse in my marriage,” and she had not appointed anybody to discuss her marriage.

However, new information now shows that Hegseth’s former sister-in-law was not acting alone. According to the renowned publication, the Wall Street Journal, Danielle submitted the affidavit after the Senate Armed Services Committee was in contact with her for several days.

It was in response to Sen. Jack Reed’s (D-RI) request for “a statement attesting to your personal knowledge about Mr. Hegseth’s fitness to occupy this important position.”

While Democrats were playing politics as usual, a sneaky Republican was seemingly working with them in attempts to undermine Hegseth’s confirmation from within. The Journal has outed that RINO as GOP Senator Thom Tillis (R-NC) – who later reneged on not voting for Hegseth.

Shortly after Hegseth was narrowly confirmed after a 51-50 vote, the former sister-in-law made an explosive revelation. She said someone had promised her that the affidavit would corroborate other accusations and swing key votes. She lamented that it did not and would possibly deter other domestic abuse victims from going public.

However, the whole exposé was seemingly a political gimmick and had nothing to do with the victims of domestic abuse. According to the Journal, Tillis told Danielle that her statement could flip three votes: His own, Murkowski’s, and Collins’s.

“Tillis personally assured Danielle Hegseth in a call on Jan. 19, witnessed by two other people, that if she signed the statement testifying that she believed her former brother-in-law Pete Hegseth has an alcohol-abuse problem and was abusive to his second wife, it would carry weight, and potentially move three votes—his own, along with the votes of Sens. Susan Collins (R., Maine) and Lisa Murkowski (R., Alaska), those people said,” the Journal reported.

Shortly after the 11th-hour affidavit, Fox News also reported that Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Susan Collins (R-ME) were likely to defect while Tillis was still undecided.

“Fox is told to keep an eye on Sens. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Susan Collins (R-ME) and Lisa Murkowski (R-AK).”

Seemingly, Tillis’ plan was right on track and had earned a potential additional vote. Nonetheless, he eventually voted in favor of Hegseth’s confirmation. Tillis likely read the room and decided against sticking out like a sore thumb, hoping that all the other RINOs would vote against Hegseth (which they did) and save his face. Subsequently, Vice President JD Vance was forced to step in and save Hegseth’s confirmation.

When confronted by the Journal, Tillis did not deny the allegation. The GOP Senator said he found Danielle’s statement “did carry weight, which is why I communicated my concerns to the White House and spent days doing my due diligence and seeing if there were any firsthand corroborating accounts of the sworn statement.”

In his defense, Tillis said that “the facts ultimately led” and promised to work with the new Secretary of Defense.

Besides Hegseth’s confirmation, Tillis said he was surprised by Trump’s “blanket pardons” of January 6 protesters.

  1. You can always tell who the dishonest ones are. They hide when the lights come on, deny or disavow when the questions are asked, and always do their schemes when no one is looking at them. Tillis go home.

  2. Time to start planning a primary challenge for Tillis. I’m ready to write a check if there is a credible candidate. At this point, my political contributions are going to the primaries, not the general elections. While things may change, primary contributions move the dial more than those for the general elections.

  3. Foxy loxy publicising again Surprise .You know theyrs so trabsparent I’m not surprised that most people are just not listening to any alleged news outlets anymore .I know some rare people, with learning disabilities or mental challenges still do ,but they ,imo ,would watch paint dry. Generally speaking though, no ,the censorship and biases and manipulative disingenuities are just too vomatose now They’ve really over exposed themselves imo .
