California Gov. Gavin Newsom Admits Trump Called, Resorts to Unhinged Rant, Spins the Narrative

After initially claiming that Trump had not called him, prompting the president to share his call logs to prove that he actually tried to reach out, California Governor Gavin Newsom has finally admitted that they communicated over the phone. According to Trump, he told Newsom to respond to the LA anti-ICE riots during the call.

“Called him up to tell him, got to do a better job,” Trump stated. “He’s doing a bad job, causing a lot of death and a lot of potential death.”

“There was no call,” Newsom replied. “Not even a voicemail. Americans should be alarmed that a President deploying Marines onto our streets doesn’t even know who he’s talking to.”

Having been exposed, Newsom came up with a new spin to explain the president’s call and why he was less forthcoming the first time. Most people trust the person who told the truth the first time instead of one who tries to explain why they initially lied. If Trump had no way to prove that he had called Gov. Newsom, the lies, amplified by the leftist media, would have stuck.

With nowhere to hide after President Trump dropped the receipts, Gov. Newsom came up with a profanity-laced explanation as to why he never disclosed that call. Newsom was responding to a reporter’s question about Trump’s call, which sent him into an unhinged rant.

“I would love to share the readout, but I revere the office of the presidency, so I’ll keep it in confidence he has quite literally made up components of that conversation. He’s been a stone-cold liar about what he said we talked about,” Newsom lashed out.

He likely knows that President Trump would not hesitate to share the transcript of the call if he lied about what they discussed. Trump shared call transcripts related to the January 6 Protests after the J6 withhunt tried to exploit them.

Subsequently, Newsom seemingly pretended to take the high road by withholding the truth, to keep everyone guessing and assuming the worst. It would not be surprising if Trump publishes the call to remove any doubts.

“He never discussed the National Guard. Period. Full stop. I would love to share with you what we actually talked about. It would send shivers up your f***ing spine,” he ranted.

During the press conference, Newsom also accused President Trump of being like one of the dictators that our Founding Fathers warned about. Ironically, he opposes the constitutional right of Californians to bear arms to defend themselves against tyrants, as the Founding Fathers envisioned.

Nonetheless, Gov. Newsom’s hypocrisy is hardly a secret. During the pandemic, he imposed some of the most draconian lockdown measures while reportedly partying loudly at a luxury resort. Gov. Newsom also issued so many executive orders that he had to be restrained by an impartial judge.

Gov. Newsom was speaking after a federal judge, US District Judge Charles Breyer, issued a temporary restraining order against Trump’s move to federalize the California National Guard.

Trump has deployed 4,000 National Guard soldiers and 700 Marines to contain the violence in California’s largest city.
