Canada Bans 324 Firearm Models, Explores Donating Them To Ukraine

In a sweeping move to further tighten gun control laws, Canada announced on Thursday a ban on 324 additional firearms. The new measures aim to “enhance public safety” while also exploring avenues to support Ukraine’s fight against Russia.

Defense Minister Bill Blair expressed Canada’s solidarity with Ukraine, saying, “Every bit of assistance we can offer to the Ukrainians is one step toward their victory.” Leaders are coordinating efforts with Ukraine’s government to facilitate donations of banned firearms to aid their defense efforts.

Public Safety Minister Dominic LeBlanc introduced the restrictions, which are part of a broader strategy to combat gun violence. In addition to the firearm bans, Canada is investing in stricter border security to curb illegal firearm smuggling and trafficking. LeBlanc highlighted the immediate implementation of these measures, stating, “This means these firearms can no longer be used.”

The crackdown builds on previous bans, including a May 2020 prohibition of 1,500 models of firearms. That list grew to over 2,000 models as of last month, and Thursday’s announcement brings the total even higher. The government’s firm stance stems from concerns over the misuse of military-style weapons in civilian settings. “Firearms designed for the battlefield plainly do not belong in our communities,” LeBlanc emphasized. “Too often, these types of weapons have been used to commit some of the worst atrocities Canada has ever witnessed.”

The measures include strengthened firearms controls and increased penalties for gun traffickers. These efforts aim to address both the domestic use and illegal entry of firearms into the country.

While the bans have been praised by gun control advocates, critics argue that the policies target law-abiding gun owners rather than addressing criminal activity. The government’s proposal to donate confiscated weapons to Ukraine has sparked additional debate, with some applauding the gesture and others questioning its practicality.

  1. When your government comes for your gun, you gun needs to be going after the government. Canadians better learn this real fast unless they want to become serfs

  2. “Firearms designed for the battlefield plainly do not belong in our communities,”

The son that Obama never had, Black Face Trudeau, has been saying that since he classified those firearms as “prohibited” nearly five years ago with a stroke of his Marxist pen – and not a single supporting vote from even one of his Liberal MPs in Parliament.

Meanwhile, no military in the world issues semiautomatic only rifles, semiautomatic rimfire rifles, replica black powder revolvers, etc. The Canadian public/the world isn’t aware of that?

Nobody working for Black Face Trudeau like former Toronto Police Chief Blair informed him of that after he keeps repeating that line?

Not a single one of the many Chief’s Of Defense Staff Trudeau’s burned through during his period of struggling to stay in power as a minority government Prime Minister has told him of that?

Or alternately said: “Your budgets have left us critically short of those Weapons Of War – we’ll use them right here to equip our soldiers that are doing their jobs in tattered rags where most of our equipment has Cold War expiry dates stenciled on it!”

There’s a very good reason that despite making that Leninist proclamation back in 2020, Trudeau hasn’t ordered police to go confiscate a single one of those weapons. And that is because Canada actually IS a gun owning and gun using nation – always has been.

And just like here in the USA where no Soviet Democrat will campaign for office on a promise to confiscate firearms, Trudeau knows there are a LOT of Liberal voters who also own firearms.

Trudeau is doing everything he can think of to achieve his real goal: a permanent cushy job somewhere in the highest echelons of the UN. No more dirty nasty voters to have to deal with. Finally leaving the groddy city of Ottawa to live in the rarefied air of New York or Geneva instead.

Facing a blowout defeat months away in 2025 he is trying everything to prove he does God’s Work!

  3. If you have to ban arms in civilian hands.. You suck at running the government. All Tyrants prefer unarmed peasants. No other reason makes sense. !!
