Christie Warns Harris Against Second Debate

In a recent appearance on The View, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie advised Vice President Kamala Harris to avoid participating in a second debate with former President Donald Trump. According to Christie, Harris has little to gain from a follow-up encounter with Trump.

Christie emphasized that Harris’s performance in the first debate was sufficient to demonstrate her competence and advised against risking a less favorable repeat.

“Nothing great can happen for her in a second debate. She’ll either do as well as she did this time… or he could do better,” Christie, the Republican former governor of New Jersey, said.

Christie highlighted the risk of former President Donald Trump performing better on the debate stage next time, potentially undoing Harris’ solid performance in the first debate.

Trump, however, believes he handily won the first debate with Harris – and has since argued that Team Harris’ request for a second debate is an indication that he won. Trump has accused Harris’ team of wanting a “rematch” – though both campaigns had previously committed to a total of two debates.

During his interview on The View, Christie also argued that Trump showed no respect for Harris, contrasting his performance with his treatment of Hillary Clinton during the 2016 debates.

“One of the most disturbing parts of the whole thing was, he wouldn’t look at her,” Christie remarked.

Christie also criticized Trump for focusing on irrelevant topics instead of key issues like the economy.

In another interview with ABC News, Christie went as far as complimenting Harris, claiming that she was “exquisitely well prepared.”

“She laid traps, and he chased every rabbit down every hole…Whoever did debate prep for Donald Trump should be fired. He was not good tonight at all,” he said, adding that Harris has a voice that “wants to unite the country.”

  1. As an unfortunate resident of New Jersey, I can say with all honesty that Christie is a totally despicable human being. Also, he did things as governor that bordered on criminality. Remember Bridgegate.

  2. Christie is a Rino who would like to be a permanent swamp creature, but he knows there is no job in a Trump administration.
