Democrat Sen. Fetterman: Trump Deserves Pardon in New York’s “Hush Money” Trials Like Hunter Biden
Hunter Biden’s presidential pardon has continued to elicit mixed reactions across the political spectrum. Recently, California Governor Gavin Newsom said he was disappointed by Biden’s unexpected presidential pardon of his because he took his word for it.
Now Democratic U.S. Senator John Fetterman (D – PA) says incoming president Donald Trump deserves the same privilege regarding his New York’s “hush money” trial.
Nonetheless, Fetterman believes Hunter’s prosecution was politically motivated, thus warranting a presidential pardon.
“No reasonable person who looks at the facts of Hunter’s cases can reach any other conclusion than Hunter was singled out only because he is my son — and that is wrong,” Biden said while announcing Hunter’s pardon.
However, the Democratic Congressman also believes Trump’s “Hush Money” prosecution was politically motivated as well and should be kicked out.
“I think that it’s undeniable that the case against Hunter Biden was really politically motivated but I also think it’s true that the trial in New York for Trump was political as well, too,” Fetterman said during his appearance on ABC’s The View.
Fetterman warned that Hunter and Trump’s trials undermined public confidence in the country’s institutions of justice.
“In both cases I think a pardon is appropriate and I really think collectively that America’s confidence in these types of institutions have been damaged by these kinds of cases, and we cannot allow these types of institutions to be weaponized against our political opponents.”
Trump’s trial was indefinitely suspended in November, with the prosecuting judge weighing on tossing it altogether. The incoming president’s legal team has also applied for dismissal, citing Biden’s pardon of his only living son, which the outgoing president said was based on the lack of faith in his own Justice System.
“President Biden argued that ‘raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice,’” Trump’s legal team stated. “These comments amounted to an extraordinary condemnation of President Biden’s own DOJ.”
Based on Biden’s criticism of own Department of Justice, Trump’s lawyers concluded that the incoming president’s case “should never have been brought.”
Interestingly, the allegations Trump fights pale in comparison to Hunter’s proven crimes spanning multiple categories from gun charges to tax evasion amounting to billions of dollars.
Trump’s prosecution is based on a single alleged failure to properly record the “hush” payment, resulting in 34 counts of alleged falsification of business records.
Seemingly, the prosecution team manufactured almost every imaginable charge from the single incident, hoping that a few would result in a guilty verdict even if the Department of Justice threw out most of them.
Meanwhile, Judge Juan Merchan has dismissed Trump’s New York trial based on presidential immunity, clearing the incoming president of 34 felony counts.
Elsewhere, Fetterman has been beating sense into the Democratic Party, which remains adamant on various issues of national importance.
The Pennsylvanian Democrat also recently said he would support Trump’s Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) appointee celebrity surgeon Mehmet Oz – and Ron DeSantis for a position if he admits to wearing lifts in his shoes.

Holy sh!t he’s wearing a suit, that photo has to be a deep fake. I have to admit I’m pleasantly surprised by this guy. He’s an old-school Democrat, a lot more willing to spend/waste money than I’d like but he has common sense.
