Eric Trump Calls President Trump Live on Stage at Auburn University Turning Point USA Event

Eric Trump surprised a packed arena Wednesday night by calling his father, President Donald Trump, live on stage during a Turning Point USA event at Auburn University in Alabama. The audience erupted in cheers as the president’s voice came through over the loudspeakers, as reported by Fox News.

Eric and Lara Trump co-hosted the event, part of Turning Point USA’s “This Is the Turning Point” tour. The event honored the late Charlie Kirk, whose death on September 10 at Utah Valley University was ruled an assassination.

The tour aims to continue Kirk’s mission of promoting free speech and conservative values among young Americans.

As the evening’s program continued, Eric Trump turned to the audience and asked, “By the way, should we see what he is doing right now? Should we try calling him?” Holding his phone to the microphone, Eric dialed the president as thousands of attendees cheered.

“Hello? Hello?” President Trump was heard saying as the crowd applauded.

Eric Trump told his father, “So we have the most beautiful crowd of people, thousands and thousands of people at Auburn University. They are incredibly enthusiastic, and they absolutely adore this country, they adore God, and they adore you.”

President Trump responded, “Well, I want to just say hello to everybody. I hope Erika is doing a good job and Lara is doing a good job. And Auburn is a special place, I’ve been there many times.”

The president went on to reference Charlie Kirk and his wife, Erika. “I just want to pay my respects to Charlie and Erika — these are two incredible people,” Trump said.

“And Erika, I’ve spoken to her often, she is just a spectacular person, and she is going to start where Charlie left off, and we should never allow this to happen.”

“One of the greatest people we have ever known and was so responsible for our win,” the president continued.

“And we love Charlie, he’s looking down on us right now, all of us and Erika, you just, you are there someplace, and you just take care of yourself. We are with you all the way, and we are with the great people that my son and Lara are speaking to, and I love you all.”

“As President of the United States, I love you all and our country is doing great,” Trump added as the crowd cheered.

Turning Point USA said on its website that each stop of the tour is designed “to honor Charlie’s mission and keep the fight alive.” The organization added, “We know he wouldn’t want us to surrender or be coerced into silence. Free speech is only free if we use our voices.”
