The U.S. Department of Justice has warned rioters they will face the full force of the law as it begins the process of filing federal charges against those who assaulted federal agents, tossed Molotov cocktails, and used weapons to attack federal property.
U.S. Attorney for the Central District of California, Bill Essayli, announced that federal charges had been filed against individuals who allegedly hurled Molotov cocktails at law enforcement officers.
Essayli posted on X alongside footage of the crimes:
“Federal charges filed against Emiliano Garduno Galvez, 23, of Paramount, and Wrackkie Quiogue, 27, of Long Beach, for possessing destructive devices. Galvez allegedly hurled a Molotov cocktail at L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies during last Saturday’s violent protest in Paramount.
Quiogue was caught by LAPD in downtown L.A., attempting to throw a Molotov cocktail.”
Each individual faces up to 10 years in federal prison if convicted.
“My office and the [ATF] are committed to protecting law enforcement and the public from those who use violence under the guise of protest,” Essayli wrote.
“We will prosecute these cases vigorously on behalf of the American people.”
Essayli told Newsmax that federal charges are needed due to the lack of real consequences for rioters, notably in Los Angeles, where violent rioters are often back on the streets within a day.
“I think they have about half as many cops per capita as they do in other major American cities, a city like Chicago, I think they’re about half. And you’re seeing the consequences of that at this point, aren’t we?” Newsmax host Rob Schmitt asked.
Essayli responded:
“Yeah, not only the defunding, which they’ve totally gutted law enforcement and the jails, they have no capacity in their jails.
So all these quote unquote arrests you’re seeing, they’re not even going to jail.
They’re being given a ticket, they’re cited and released because they have no room in a jail because they refuse to add space to the jail.”
The U.S. Attorney also noted that his office is preparing federal charges against dozens of additional rioters.
The FBI is also working to apprehend Elpidio Reyna, a man accused of nearly killing federal agents after he threw a large rock at a moving ICE vehicle in Paramount this past Saturday.
A search was conducted at Reyna’s home, and authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for any information leading to his capture.
“The FBI has identified him. That guy has just been identified, and they are doing a search warrant on his house, as we speak. And he has been identified…his name is [Reyna]. He is going to be on the Most Wanted list,” U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News.
“He has been identified by the great police work by the FBI,” she continued.
“So, you can run, you can’t hide. We are coming after you federally. If you assault a police officer, if you rob a store, if you loot, if you spit on police officers, we’re coming after you.”

Prison is not enough. Illegal Immigrant rioters who are convicted should be immediately deported at the end of their prison term. American Citizens who have committed any crime during this spree once convicted should serve their prison time then be stripped of citizenship and deported. All this lawlessness stems from the rise of anti-authoritanrianism that was almost institutionalized in the 60s. All that anti-war, anti-government nonsense was orchestrated and funded by the USSR and CCP as an agit-prop. It was wildly successful. Neither of those countries, by itself or together, could defeat the US directly, so they came through a backdoor. What makes this worse, was they were aided, abetted, and enabled by our own intellectuals – useful tools. Send them away.
