FEMA Skipped 20 Homes in Hurricane Ravaged Neighborhoods Because of Trump Support, Director Confirms

Earlier in November, a few days after Trump’s election victory, a disturbing report came out about FEMA support to areas of the southeast affected by hurricanes recently.

According to a bombshell report by Daily Wire reporter Leif Le Mahieu, a supervisor at the Federal Emergency Management Agency instructed FEMA employees providing aid to skip over homes that displayed support for Donald Trump.

FEMA quickly identified and fired an employee, Marn’i Washington, who was identified as the source of the biased instructions. Washington quickly spoke out to say that this was a policy of FEMA – not her.

During testimony before Congress this week, FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell confirmed that 20 homes were skipped due to displaying support for President Trump.

When pressed, Criswell signaled her support for an IG investigation into the situation.

“And I would welcome an investigation by the IG,” Criswell said.

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Scott Perry (R-PA) then asked why she had not requested an IG investigation already.

“I will request one,” Criswell confirmed.

This story originally broke on November 8th, just three days after Donald Trump’s landslide victory in the presidential election.

Washington went on Fox News last week to try to clear her name. She claims that she is being scapegoated by the agency and that she was following an agency-wide policy of “avoidance” and “de-escalation”.
