What He Said

JD Vance, recently selected as Donald Trump’s running mate for the 2024 presidential election, has come under scrutiny for comments made in 2021. In an interview, Vance reportedly characterized childless Democratic leaders as “miserable cat ladies” who lack a stake in the country’s future. He specifically mentioned Vice President Kamala Harris, Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as examples.

Aniston Hits Out

Jennifer Aniston, the well-known actress, took to social media to express her disapproval of Vance’s comments. Aniston, who has been open about her own experiences with IVF, criticized Vance’s stance on reproductive issues. She highlighted concerns about potential restrictions on IVF access, referencing Vance’s vote against the Right to IVF Act in June 2024.

Buttigieg, Too

Pete Buttigieg, who now has twins, addressed Vance’s comments in a CNN interview. Buttigieg emphasized the personal nature of family planning decisions and suggested that such remarks were inappropriate in political discourse. He redirected the conversation to focus on policy impacts on American families rather than politicians’ personal lives.

  1. Democrats are disgusting folks who often lack a stake in the future. Who cares if the border is wide open? I don’t have kids that are competing for jobs with low wage foreign workers. Who cares if the next generation will struggle to ever buy a home? I don’t have kids that won’t be able to buy a home. Also, who cares what an out of touch multi-millionaire has to say about anything, ever? Idolizing the opinions of Hollywood types like they are more valuable than common Americans is a mistake the Dems and mainstream media keep making. We don’t care what they think.

    1. Greg, I think you make a good point. Why should Democrats worry about those things? They’ve no stake in it – just collecting power to themselves.
