Less than four days after returning to Michigan from a week-long “investment mission” to Europe, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer is jetting to Washington to lecture America on her “strategy to create jobs.”

It’s a unique opportunity for the top executive of a state with the fastest growing unemployment in the nation.

“This Thursday, in Washington, D.C., Governor Gretchen Whitmer will deliver a major speech in the nation’s capitol, laying out her vision to working (sic) with both parties and federal officials to build America’s manufacturing might and protect our national defense,” according to a Whitmer press release.

“Afterwards, she will sit down for a fireside chat with Gretchen Carlson to discuss the proposals and strategy behind the vision,” the release continues “In her address, the governor will outline her bipartisan approach to bring supply chains home from China, create more good-paying jobs, and invest in our defense industry.”

Bureau of Labor Statistics data for February shows Michigan’s unemployment rate grew at the fastest pace in the nation over the last year, and it wasn’t even close.

Only in Washington DC would a leftist failed governor with the worst job record in the nation be asked or included in on a discussion on jobs. And they wonder why people voted for Trump on his policies of cleaning out the sewer that is Washington DC. It can not happen fast enough. Go Trump Go Elon.
