Kamala Harris Hints at Raising Taxes in Another “Word Salad” Interview

There is a reason Vice President Kamala Harris is avoiding interviews, primarily so she doesn’t have to answer direct questions like the one in her recent appearance on MSNBC.

Predictably, Harris spewed her usual word salads when MSNBC‘s Stephanie Rhule asked her about raising taxes.

“Expanding that child tax credit, or you mentioned housing before giving that extra money for a first home. If you can’t raise corporate taxes, or if GOP takes control of the Senate Where do you get the money to do that?” Rhule asked,

“Do you still go forward with those plans and borrow?”

Harris responded: “Well, but we’re gonna have to raise corporate taxes, and we’re gonna have to raise we’re gonna have to make sure that the biggest corporations and billionaires pay their fair share.”

“That’s just it. It’s about paying their fair share. I am not mad at anyone for achieving success, but everyone should pay their fair share,” Harris continued.

Rhule pointed out the likelihood of corporations leaving the U.S. if corporate tax rates are raised.

Again, Harris responded with more vague rhetoric; “Well listen I work with a lot of CEOs, I have spent a lot of time with CEOs and I’m going to tell you that the business leaders who are actually part of the engine of America’s economy agree that people should pay their fair share.”

“They also agree that when we look at a plan such as mine that is about investing in the middle class, investing in new industries, investing in bringing down costs, invest in entrepreneurs like small businesses, that the overall economy is stronger and everyone benefits.”

Later in the interview, Harris claimed that COVID-19 pandemic-level unemployment levels were on par with the Great Depression, despite unemployment peaking at 14.8 percent during government-mandated shutdowns, mainly in blue states.

Unemployment was at 6.3 percent by the time Joe Biden took office, leading the administration to falsely claim they had created tens of millions of jobs, when in fact, the job growth was due to jobs returning from before the pandemic.

Harris perpetuated this lie with no pushback from MSNBC.
