White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the political attacks against President Donald Trump are part of a larger struggle between good and evil, calling it “spiritual warfare.“
Speaking with Christian Broadcasting Network’s David Brody, Leavitt said, “I certainly believe in spiritual warfare.”
“And I think I saw it firsthand, especially throughout the campaign trail with President Trump.”
“And I think there certainly were evil forces.”

She also referenced the assassination attempt against Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, last year, calling it part of God’s plan to protect the president and describing it as divine intervention.
“The president was saved by the grace of God on July 13th,” she said.
“He’s in this moment for a reason.”
Leavitt also revealed how such divine guidance extends to her own political journey.
In 2022, she ran for Congress in New Hampshire’s 1st District, winning the Republican primary but losing to incumbent Democrat Chris Pappas.
However, the apparent setback was a blessing in disguise.
“Well, certainly, God has a plan for everyone,” she said.
“I believe that firmly, and you just have to trust His lead and have faith that everything will work out.”
“When He closes a door, it’s because He’s opening another.”
She said that belief helped her see her defeat not as a failure but as a necessary step toward something much larger.
“If I had won that race, I wouldn’t have worked on the president’s campaign as his spokeswoman, and then I probably wouldn’t be the White House press secretary either,” she reflected.
Leavitt incorporates her faith into her daily routine by gathering her team for a moment of prayer before each press briefing.
“Before briefings, it’s a little bit chaotic and overwhelming because there’s so much news to consume,” she noted.
“That team prayer before is just a moment to be silent, to be still, and to ask God for confidence, knowledge, and protection.”
“It’s a nice moment to reset before facing the day’s challenges.”
Trump recently praised her efforts, calling her “really the rage right now” and saying she’s “knocking them dead,” the Daily Mail notes.
Leavitt now remains focused on her mission rather than personal accolades.
“I hope I’m viewed as a hard worker who wants to get the job done, a good mother, and good at my job,” she told Brody.
“We’ve only been here for two months, and we’ll sit down again in four years.”

I have issues with people who align themselves with Trump first and the Lord second. I’ve seen the way she speaks to the press and many times you can tell she is just sharing half-truths and misdirection. I am glad she has her faith because she will need it if she continues to share the misdeeds of our current president.
