Obama Judge Who Blocked Trump's Deportation Flights Tied to Radical Leftist Group

A federal judge, appointed by former President Barack Obama, is under fire over a potential conflict of interest after trying to halt President Donald Trump’s deportation of illegal alien gang members. Judge James Boasberg issued an emergency injunction over the weekend to prevent flights carrying Tren De Agua gang members to El Salvador from leaving.

The case, brought forward by anti-Trump groups—the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Democracy Forward—failed after two flights carrying nearly 300 Venezuelan and other gang members had already landed in El Salvador before Boasberg’s ruling could take effect.

Journalist Laura Loomer later exposed Boasberg’s shady connections, raising questions about his impartiality in the case.

According to Loomer, Boasberg’s daughter, Katherine Boasberg, is employed by the far-left nonprofit organization Partners for Justice, which opposes mass incarceration and the deportation of illegal aliens, including violent criminals. Loomer wrote:

“I have exclusively uncovered a massive CONFLICT OF INTEREST involving Judge James Boasberg, the Chief judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Judge Boasberg recently made the decision to prevent the deportation of criminal illegal alien gang members on planes out of the country.”

She continued:

“The Judge has a daughter named Katherine Boasberg, who works for a 501(c)(3) organization called Partners for Justice as a ‘capacity-building associate.’ In her position, she helps coordinate and administer grant activities, ensure compliance, and support the delivery of capacity-building programs to strengthen nonprofit infrastructure.”

Partners for Justice frequently opposes legislation that targets criminal gangs, including the Laken Riley Act.

Moreover, the far-left organization receives 76% of its funding from U.S. government grants. That’s right—American taxpayers are funding organizations that fight for criminal illegal aliens and gang members to remain in the U.S. Loomer also uncovered a screenshot showing that Partners for Justice’s founder, Emily Galvin-Almanza, tweeted about Judge Boasberg’s ruling blocking Trump’s deportation flights.

The connection between the judge’s ruling and his daughter’s employer has now prompted calls for him to recuse himself from immigration-related cases.

“Given his daughter’s employment at a group that advocates for criminal illegal aliens & is funded by U.S. government grants, Judge Boasberg should not be granted any sensitive information about deportation flights. His family is a national security threat,” Loomer wrote.

Katherine Boasberg later deleted her Instagram and LinkedIn accounts, adding further weight to Loomer’s findings.
