Former NCAA female swimmer defeated by a trans athlete, Riley Gaines, nuked woke political and sports troll Keith Olbermann after he attempted to downplay her accomplishments.
Olbermann was responding to the Secretary of Education Linda McMahon’s comments praising Riley’s athleticism and claiming she would have won had the biological male not torpedoed her career.
“She would have clearly won if she’s just been competing against women,” McMahon said, noting that having men in women’s sports was a safety issue.
“She finished 85th in the Olympic Trials,” Olbermann said. “She finished tied for 5th in the only race including a transgendered athlete. If there had been none, she MIGHT have finished tied for 4th, or had 5th place to herself.”
“[Riley] was, somehow, a worse swimmer than she is a MAGA stooge,” he added.
Riley began by pointing out that she was barely 16 when she participated in the Olympic trials. According to existing data, the average age of an Olympic participant is 27 years.
“I placed 85th at Olympic trials when I was 15/16? I was one of the youngest there,” she said.
“And I placed 5th *in the nation* in a sport measured in .01s of a second without going a best. Would you say the 5th best college football player is objectively bad at their sport?” Gaines asked.
Ironically, the radical left, of which Olbermann is a part, was the mastermind of participation trophies, where every participant is considered a winner despite performing very badly.
However, Riley is beyond the left’s participation trophies or approval, as her athletic record speaks for itself. In 2022, the University of Kentucky Athletics Department nominated her for the 2022 NCAA Woman of the Year award, having earned all 12 All-America honors between 2019 and 2022 when she attended the college.
Between 2021 and 2022, she won 5 Southeastern Conference (SEC) titles, including the 200-yard butterfly, for which she set both SEC meet and conference records. She was also named the 2022 SEC Women’s Swimming and Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Riley also won many other accolades, which I cannot enumerate without turning this into an entire sports magazine about her.
Riley took another shot at Olbermann, and it landed where it hurts the most.
“No. You’re just a misogynistic pig & an old, deranged man with a terminal case of TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) who can’t hold down a job.”
Olbermann has been fired from Fox Sports, Current TV, ESPN, and even MSNBC/NBC, whose standards are below the ground.
Meanwhile, Riley challenged the deranged sports commentator to a charity match, in which the loser donates to a charity of the winner’s choice.
“I’m literally one of the fastest Americans of all time but okay lol,” she tweeted.
“I’d challenge [Mr. Olbermann] to a race where the loser puts up $ to the charity of the winner’s choice, but no one wants to see him in a Speedo,” she added.
Sensing that he was losing the argument, the alleged TDS end-of-life patient resorted to a pity party disguised as sarcasm. Besides, why should he care if he wins or loses for a good cause? Methought the left did stand for aiding all, illegals included.
“This is a brilliant idea [Riley]! A 66-year-old man with an arthritic left knee and chronic stress fractures in the right foot,” he wrote. “Somebody you could finally beat!”
