Over 100 Democrats Vote Against a Resolution Denouncing Antisemitism and Terrorism

Over 100 Democrats voted against a House resolution denouncing the Boulder, Colorado, terror attack that targeted the families and supporters, including a Holocaust survivor, of people held hostage by the terrorist group Hamas.

The measure, which called the incident an “antisemitic terrorist attack,” narrowly passed after 75 Democrats crossed party lines and joined 205 Republicans.

However, the vast majority of Democrats refused to call out the terrorist attack and the flawed immigration system that allowed the suspected terrorist who shouted “Free Palestine” and supported killing “Zionists” to overstay his visa.

The measure also lauded the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for its ongoing efforts to secure the country from threats of violence by foreign-born criminals and their sympathizers.

Meanwhile, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries belittled Colorado Republican Representative Gabe Evans, who introduced the measure, and even called him a joke. Rep. Evans is a former law enforcement officer and clearly understands the implications of lawlessness that the left condones. The Republican lawmaker is also a veteran Army Black Hawk pilot who was deployed in the Middle East.

“Who is this guy? He’s not seriously concerned with combating antisemitism in America. This is not a serious effort. This guy’s going to be a one-term member of Congress. He’s a complete and total embarrassment,” Jeffries said.

However, ranking Republican legislator House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) defended Rep. Evans by pointing out that terrorism and antisemitism were no joke.

“Only radical Democrats would call it a joke to denounce antisemitic terrorism and express gratitude to law enforcement for detaining the terrorist here illegally who perpetrated the Boulder attack,” Scalise said. “Appreciate a veteran and former law enforcement officer for leading on this important resolution.”

Michigan’s 4th Congressional District GOP Representative, Rep. Bill Huizenga, also lamented that the measure did not receive overwhelming bipartisan support.

“This should have not have been a tough vote for my friends across the aisle,” he tweeted.

Rep. Evans also defended himself by demonstrating his deep understanding of antisemitism and law enforcement, unlike many activist Democratic talking heads.

“I served our nation in uniform in the Middle East, as a cop in Colorado, & now as a Congressman,” he tweeted. “This wildly offensive sentiment from Democrat’s Leader is why antisemitism persists. The Left is unserious about finding real solutions. Condemning terrorism is not a joking matter.”

In November 2023, over 20 Democrats voted against another House resolution condemning antisemitism on college campuses. At that time, antisemitism had not yet reached its current high level.

With antisemitism on the rise, it looks like more and more Democrats have become increasingly radicalized and antisemitic. According to Colorado’s Democrat Rep. Joe Neguse’s assessment, antisemitism has risen by 40% in the state since 2024 and has reached a 50-year high across the country. Even Jewish Democrat lawmakers are not exempt from the violence, with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s home targeted.

Rep Neguse had previously floated a resolution that, among other things, criticized ICE for not being at the scene of the terrorist attack.

Meanwhile, many Democrats are standing in solidarity with violent foreign rioters and their sympathizers burning down Los Angeles because ICE was deployed to detain non-citizens accused or convicted of serious crimes, including murder, rape, child abuse, and terrorism.

For now, the Republican Jewish Coalition has published the names of Democrats who voted against the anti-semitism resolution.

  1. Hegseth set in motion a review of DEI initiatives. Clean house, root out the DEI weaponize, we can trust in these institutions to do what Trump orders. The purge is done, now go after the Anarchists, subversives and illegals.
    Promise Made,
    Promise Kept.

  2. Did anyone really think that the neo communists (AKA democrats) would actually support something like this? Don’t ever forget that the the left was the KKK until they told us they weren’t, which of course was a lie.
