Red Line — Democrats Threaten DHS Over Pending Arrest of Colleagues Who Stormed ICE Facility

Democratic lawmakers have threatened the Department of Homeland Security over the potential arrest of their colleagues who stormed a Newark, New Jersey, ICE facility holding dangerous criminals.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) made a direct threat when asked what would happen if the agency arrested Congress members involved in the fracas.

“What happens if they were to go and arrest these members or if they were to try to sanction them…” a reporter asked.

“They’ll find out. They’ll find out. They’ll find out. It’s a red line. They know better than to go down that road. There are clear lines that they dare not cross,” Jeffries said.

The radical Marxist also described DHS’s spokesperson as a joke and said Trump cannot order the arrest of lawmakers when his poll numbers were falling.

“They know better than to go down that road. And it’s been made loudly and abundantly clear to the Trump administration. We’re not going to be intimidated by their tactics,” he added, falsely claiming that Trump “most unpopular president in American history after his first 100 days.”

Appearing on CNN, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Tricia McLaughlin had warned that arrests were coming for members who tried to obstruct law enforcement, including body slamming an ICE agent.

“There will likely be more arrests coming,” McLaughlin said, referring to the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. “We have bodycam footage of some of these members of Congress assaulting our ICE enforcement officers, including bodyslamming a female ICE officer. We will be showing that to viewers very shortly.”

The DHS released bodycam footage showing Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver body-slamming an ICE agent and verbally threatening her when warned about a lawful arrest.

“I touch whoever I want motherf*cker!” Rep. McIver blurted, adding, “You will pay!” if she attempted to arrest her.

Another New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) also threatened the Trump administration if it dares to arrest more Democrats involved in the clashes.

“You lay a finger on someone, on Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman … or any of the representatives that were there, you lay a finger on them, we are going to have a problem,” she said, adding that “the people who are breaking the law are the people not abiding by it.”

“If anyone’s breaking the law in this situation, it’s not members of Congress, it’s the Department of Homeland Security,” she said. “It’s people like Tom Homan and Secretary Kristi Noem.”

One of the Democrats involved in the violent incident, Rep. Watson Coleman (D-NJ), also accused Trump of weaponizing law enforcement.

“To take the mayor of the largest city in the state of New Jersey and put him in handcuffs and then take him away…,” he said “This is not America. This is the sick man’s idea of what he thinks he can do to any one of us, or all of us that he doesn’t like.”

Meanwhile, AOC is facing potential arrest after Tom Homan wrote to the Chief Justice to determine if her actions, which involved coaching immigrants how to avoid deportation, amount to obstruction of the ICE. She also dared Homan to arrest her.

“Tom Homan said he was going to refer me to the DOJ because I’m using my free speech rights in order to advise people of their constitutional protections. To that I say: Come for me, do I look like I care?” she previously said.
