Chicago’s leftist Mayor, Brandon Johnson, has admitted he supports giving illegals the right to vote and even funding their abortions in response to a grilling from Representative Brandon Gill (R-TX) during a congressional hearing this week.
Mayor Johnson admitted supporting driver’s licenses for illegals, saying that Chicago is a “welcoming city.”
Illegals have been using driver’s licenses to vote in federal elections despite them being ineligible as non-citizens.
Gill also asked Johnson if he supports healthcare for illegals, free or reduced college, and taxpayer-funded abortions for illegals, to which the mayor did not dispute.
Such support for illegals is not available for hard-working Americans.

Last year, Johnson requested former President Biden to grant work permits to half a million illegal aliens.
It was also reported that Chicago had spent nearly $300 million on housing, feeding, and paying for illegal migrants’ medical care.
Johnson defended Chicago’s Welcoming City ordinance, arguing it makes the city safer by allowing undocumented people to work with law enforcement without fear of deportation.
“Let me be clear: Chicago’s Welcoming City ordinance and our other laws and policies do not lead to more crime, they do not prevent cooperation with federal law enforcement on criminal matters, and we do not harbor criminals. We arrest them, often, because of laws that allow residents to feel safe helping the police,” said Johnson.
Meanwhile, U.S. Rep. James Comer issued a scathing critique of sanctuary cities and illegal immigration.
“The mayors here today, each lead so-called sanctuary cities, and let’s be clear, these policies only create sanctuary for criminals,” Comer said.
“Sanctuary policies violate federal immigration law by protecting criminal aliens at the expense of the American people.”
“Sanctuary cities make us all less safe and are a public safety nightmare.”
Later in the hearing, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna informed the mayors that she would be referring them for a criminal investigation over their obstruction of federal immigration enforcement.
The mayors of New York City, Denver, Boston, and Chicago defended their local immigration policies after the Republican-led committee accused them of blocking Trump’s deportation efforts.
“So you don’t believe that banning the transfer of individuals into ICE custody for the purpose of civil immigration enforcement encourages illegal immigration into Chicago?” Luna asked.
Johnson responded, arguing, “We comply with all laws, local, state, and federal.”
