One of Trump’s longtime critics Rosie O’Donnell has self-deported to Ireland after he returned to the White House. The 62-year-old media personality left the United States on January 15, 2025, with her “nonbinary” 12-year-old, whose name changed from Dakota to Clay. The Long Island native cited her child’s gender identity as the reason for leaving the country.
O’Donnell’s feud with Trump started in 2006 when she appeared on ABC’s The View before he even contemplated running for president. Describing Trump as a “snake oil salesman on Little House on the Prairie” with a history of bankruptcies and infidelity, she criticized his handling of the Miss USA titleholder Tara Conner who was involved in underage alcohol and drug use and inappropriate behavior. The Miss USA beauty queen risked being stripped of her title but Trump gave her a second chance.
“He’s the moral authority? Left the first wife, had an affair, had kids with other people. He’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America?” O’Donnell asked.
“This is a man who has been bankrupt so many times where he didn’t have to pay,” she added.
Over the years, Trump repaid her in kind by throwing heavy jabs at her, including calling her “a big, fat pig” and a loser.
“Rosie O’Donnell’s disgusting, I mean both inside and out. You take a look at her, she’s a slob. She talks like a truck driver,” Trump said in 2006 on Entertainment Tonight.
“How does she even get on television? If I were running The View, I’d fire Rosie. I’d look her right in that fat, ugly face of hers and say, ‘Rosie, you’re fired.’”
As her career flopped, Trump stepped up his attacks by mocking her failing businesses and television career.
“Rosie O’Donnell has been a loser for a long time. Her show failed, her magazine failed. She is a stone-cold loser!” He said in 2014.
During the first Republican presidential debate in 2016, Fox News host Megyn Kelly confronted Trump on allegations of insulting women by calling them “dog,” ’’fat,” and “disgusting.”
“Only Rosie O’Donnell,” Trump responded leaving the audience in stitches.
As Trump’s popularity soared and O’Donnell’s television career took a nosedive, she often found herself on the losing side of the feud she started, ultimately leading to her cowardly exit from her native country. Nonetheless, she earns some credit for becoming one of the few radical leftists leave the country after Trump’s historic victory. Defeated and dejected, O’Donnell recently shared her experiences of adjusting to life in a foreign country.
“It’s been pretty wonderful, I have to say,” she said in a TikTok video. “And the people have been so loving, so kind and so welcoming. And I’m very grateful.”
Meanwhile, Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin recently visited Trump at the White House during St. Patrick’s Day preparations when a journalist asked him about O’Donnell’s change of residence.
“Ireland is known for very happy, fun-loving people. Why in the world would you let Rosie O’Donnell move to Ireland? I think she is going to lower your happiness,” the journalist asked.
However, the Irish leader seemed to be unaware of who O’Donnell was and why she had fled to his country, prompting Trump to respond on his behalf.
“That’s true, I like that question. Do you know you have Rosie O’Donnell? Do you know who she is? You’re better off not knowing.” Trump said.
Despite leaving the country, O’Donnell still tries to remain relevant by attacking Trump. She recently published a poem titled “Him” on her Substack, revisiting the Miss USA controversy and calling Trump an irredeemable misogynist. She claims that Trump “cant keep my name out of his mouth,” adding that he demanded an apology to forgive Miss USA.
“Once a misogynist… always a creep, he went after me for years, and hasn’t stopped yet.”
She also sent St. Patrick’s Day best wishes to all the leftists fighting to derail Trump’s America First agenda.
“Have a great St Patrick’s day. Sending love from Ireland to all Americans fighting to save r nation,” the poem reads.
O’Donnell said she intends to gain Irish citizenship and stay until “it is safe, you know, for all citizens to have equal rights there, in America.”
Besides O’Donnell, other leftist celebrities who have self-deported include reality TV star Ellen DeGeneres, actress Portia de Rossi, Ryan Gosling, and Eva Mendes who all fled to the United Kingdom after Trump’s victory.
If syphilis had a face…
Rosie is the ONLY celeb to move out of the country AFTER Trump’s latest election. All others lived overseas prior to the election or made their move plans well in advance and for obviously different reasons, but being the narcissists that they are they can’t pass up an opportunity to seem relevant.
Good riddance to Emoting Women (EWsss)
