Scott Jennings Schools Liberals Ganging Up on Appointed “Anti-Woke” Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth

Liberals continue to throw a fit over Trump’s appointment of Pete Hegseth as the Secretary of Defense. Their major criticism basically boils down to the fact that Hegseth is not a Washington insider – which most normal people see as a positive.

Despite his impressive military and education credentials, which include two Ivy League degrees, a history as a combat veterans, and two bronze stars, basement critics instead focused on Hegseth’s regular appearance on Fox News where he discusses serious issues affecting the country and the Military. 

Among the other reasons for their opposition include expressing opposition to “woke” policies at the Pentagon. 

Hegseth has recommended firing “woke” generals and loosening the rules of engagement for soldiers in combat. His vision of the military mirrors that of President Trump who promised to create a warrior board comprising retired military officials to identify his woke military officials. 

Hegseth’s disdain for wokeness in the Pentagon made him Trump’s favorite choice to head the Defense docket. The returning president described Hegseth as a “Warrior for the Troops, and for the Country,” tough, smart, and “A true believer in America First.”

“With Pete at the helm, America’s enemies are on notice – Our Military will be Great Again, and America will Never Back Down.”

Meanwhile in crazy town, MSNBC’s Joy Reid (who gaslights us even with her first name) criticized Trump’s appointment saying the returning president was “moving quickly to fill the clown car,” “before he changes his mind and fires them all.”

Reid said Trump has selected the “Fox News weekend morning show host” to serve as his Secretary of Defense, ‘cause why not.” 

Similarly, describing Hegseth as a “Fox & Friends Weekend co-host,” progressive Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) said he was “not qualified to be the Secretary of Defense” and urged Congress to reject him.

Another widely ridiculed Liberal influencer named Harry Sisson warned that Americans “are so screwed” because Trump has selected a “Fox News host as Secretary of Defense.”

However, appearing on CNN Live, senior political strategist Scott Jennings schooled the left-leaning broadcaster who reminded him of when civilians made decisions for the Military.

“Does anyone have confidence in the current leadership of the Pentagon, and the way the defense situation has been operating for the last several years?”

Noting that “American people just voted against the expected Washington pick,” Jennings highlighted all the Biden administration’s failures when a civilian and Washington insider headed the defense docket. 

“I mean, from the Afghanistan pullout, which was an extreme debacle for which no one was held accountable. We’ve had spy balloons flying over the United States, we built a $300 million pier as a public relations stunt which wound up killing an American service member.”

“I’d say I’ve had just about enough of the “so-called insiders” running the defense industry.”

Jennings also listed Hegseth’s achievements, which the Liberals have conveniently overlooked to focus on his Fox News show appearance.

“He’s got 20 years in service. Afghanistan, Iraq. Two bronze stars. Princeton, Harvard. Yeah, he’s on TV, but so are the rest of us.”

Seemingly, selecting a TV co-host with impressive military and academic credentials is worse than Biden’s choice of a drag queen as the Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Department of Energy’s Office of Nuclear Energy.
