Shocking: Democrat Fetterman Supports Rival Trump CMS Appointee Mehmet Oz as CMS Administrator

Trump’s nominee for the head of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Dr. Mehmet Oz, has received support from unexpected quarters. CMS oversees various government programs covering over 160 million Americans, including Medicare, Medicaid, and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.

Meanwhile, Democrat Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA), who won his seat in a face off against Oz, has threatened to cross party lines to approve him.

“If Dr. Oz is about protecting and preserving Medicare and Medicaid, I’m voting for the dude,” Fetterman posted on X.

During his appointment, Trump praised Dr. Oz as a leader in disease prevention, capable of maximizing the government’s value for money in healthcare investment by cutting back on wasteful spending and corruption in the healthcare industry.

“Dr. Oz will be a leader in incentivizing Disease Prevention, so we get the best results in the World for every dollar we spend on Healthcare in our Great Country,” Trump said.

“He will also cut waste and fraud within our Country’s most expensive Government Agency, which is a third of our Nation’s Healthcare spend, and a quarter of our entire National Budget.”

Meanwhile, Democrats who are not doctors accuse Oz of promoting unfounded medical claims. Sen. Fetterman also previously jumped onto the Democrat’s bandwagon to castigate Dr. Oz during their battle for former Sen. Pat Toomey’s (R-Pa.) vacant seat.

Fetterman described Oz as “not one of us” and mocked “Doc Hollywood” by saying that “Pennsylvania is not for sale.” The Senator’s spokesperson Joe Calvello also described Dr. Oz as a fraud who wants to “ban abortions and believes all abortion is ‘murder.'”

However, the multiple Daytime Emmy Awards-winning celebrity cardiothoracic surgeon lashed back at Fetterman, calling out his cowardice for seemingly evading a debate to avoid answering questions about his “radical left positions.” Oz also described Fetterman as “soft on crime” when he served as the Mayor of Braddock, Pennsylvania, between 2006 and 2019.

During the race for the hotly contested seat that Fetterman eventually won, President Trump endorsed Oz by describing him as having the necessary qualities to take down the Washington establishment.

Trump’s endorsement aligned with his promise to purge Washington’s sprawling bureaucracy, which holds captive the federal government’s policies, including healthcare through collusion with big pharma. The President-elect’s HHS nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. promised to purge entire departments at the country’s drug regulatory authority the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

Evidently, Dr. Oz must have prominently distinguished himself to receive accolades from his bitter political rival. Similarly, Fetterman’s willingness to cross party lines to approve Trump’s CMS nominee based on merit screams maturity, something massively lacking within the Democratic Party.

Nonetheless, Democrats continue to execute indiscriminate attacks on Trump’s nominees for various positions, including his HHS nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

According to radical progressive New York Democrat Alexandria Ocassio-Cortez, RFK Jr. is a retrogressive individual capable of returning the healthcare system to the 1700s and 1800s.

And to point out the obvious again, she is not a doctor – nor would she ever be able to be.
