“Sleepy” Biden Gifts Africa $1 Billion, Days Before Leaving Office, While Hurricane Victims Suffer

President Joe Biden’s trip to Africa shortly after pardoning his son of a decade of federal crimes carried the promise of more aid “for Africans displaced by historic droughts.”

The president, who seemed to fall asleep while meeting African leaders, promised $1 billion in taxpayers’ money with barely a month left in office.

The “sleepy” Joe demeanor displayed during the African leaders’ meeting sharply contrasted with the strong Biden, who was cleared to lead the world’s most powerful democracy for another four years.

“Today, I’m announcing over $1 billion of new humanitarian support for Africans displaced from homes by historic droughts,” Biden said in Luanda, Angola, a southern African country.

At least 31 African countries will benefit from the aid, whose timing late into Biden’s presidency raises questions. Nonetheless, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will distribute around $823 million, including the Department of Agriculture’s nearly $202 million.

The funds will be used for emergency care, water and sanitation services, protection programs, mental health support, education, and shelter for refugees and internally displaced people.

“The United States continues to be the world’s largest provider of humanitarian aid and development assistance. That’s going to increase, you know, that’s the right thing for the wealthiest nation in the world to do.”

However, the efficacy of Western aid to Africa has always been the subject of speculation because, despite countries pouring billions of dollars into the continent, it has failed to resolve its most pressing needs.

Meanwhile, American hurricane victims, including those discriminated against for supporting Trump, continue to grapple with the aftermath of the natural disaster that flattened their lives.

Additionally, Biden’s $1 billion aid for Africa mirrors Ukraine’s $1 billion, which the outgoing president was accused of leveraging to oust a prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, to shield his son’s company, Burisma Holdings, from a potential corruption investigation.

“VP Biden threatened to withhold 1 billion dollars from Ukraine to save his son’s job,” Secure America Now posted. The claim was heavily “fact-checked” by the mainstream media, which also assured Americans that Biden would not pardon his son.

“It’s true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn’t because Shokin was investigating Burisma,” USA Today claimed.

“But it wasn’t because Shokin was investigating Burisma,” the media outlet continued. “It was because Shokin wasn’t pursuing corruption among the country’s politicians.”

Ukraine’s corruption was a huge problem for the country’s sovereignty by allowing Russia to manipulate the country’s politicians. Ironically, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine occurred when Biden was the president.

Nonetheless, Hunter was found guilty of various federal offenses, including tax evasion linked to various deals, which Biden pardoned him before flying to Africa and promising another $1 billion in aid.

Despite Africa receiving billions in aid from Western countries, the financial assistance has failed to improve the lives of ordinary civilians because it usually ends up in corruption, aided and abetted by and involving Western politicians.

  1. Giving away our money is totally wrong especially since we have our own citizens in need in Florida and the Carolinas. But, let’s face it, maybe 10 cents on the dollar will go to the Africans and the rest will go into their politicians pockets.
