Stop Pandering to the Far Left: Another Democratic Lawmaker Calls Out the Party over the Transgender Issue

Democrats continue to share their opinions on critical issues the radicals in the party silenced all criticism of, helping contribute to Donald Trump’s landslide victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Recently re-elected Congressman Rep. Tom Suozzi (NY-D-3) has warned the Democratic Party against pandering to the far Left. Suozzi was discussing the party’s approach to transgender women’s participation in girls’ sports. Most Americans oppose biological boys participating in girls’ sports.

“The Democrats have to stop pandering to the far left,” Suozzi told the New York Times. “I don’t want to discriminate against anybody, but I don’t think biological boys should be playing in girls’ sports.

“Democrats aren’t saying that, and they should be,” the former County Executive of Nassau County.

Nassau County, of which large swathes of Suozzi’s third Congressional district lie, enacted laws barring transitioned biological boys from participating in girls’ sports through an executive order.

The New York State Attorney General Letitia James has sued Nassau County over the Transgender Athlete Ban. The Long Island Roller Rebels also sued Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman for allegedly violating New York civil rights laws.

The former Mayor of Glen Cove also pointed out that American voters were more afraid of “the Left” than they feared Trump’s actions. Censorship and the Cancel Culture have most Americans, including Democratic Party members, walking on eggshells to avoid being branded bigots.

Suozzi also believes the Democratic Party failed to respond adequately to other issues of serious concern to ordinary Americans.

While he says that “some Democrats effectively responded to Republican’s claims of chaos at the Southern border,” the Congressman warned that the Blue Party “still ceded too much ground” on an issue they could have won.

In addition, he felt the party failed to respond to “Republican weaponization of anarchy on college campuses, defund the police,” and “a general attack on traditional values.” Another issue that cost Democrats is the party’s preoccupation with abortion rights at the expense of the economy and fuel prices.

Suozzi’s remarks echoed Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton’s, who accused the Democratic Party of stifling debate on hot-button issues such as transgender women in girls’ sports. Branding Moulton a traitor, stalwart progressives have even called for his resignation.

“Democrats spend way too much time trying not to offend anyone rather than being brutally honest about the challenges many Americans face,” Moulton said.

Meanwhile, Suozzi recommended fighting to “give everyone a fair shake” instead of getting “wrapped around the axle of our base and resistance politics.”

Nonetheless, advocating for a practical approach to issues of public concern remains unpopular among the Democratic elites, and only widens the divide between moderates and the far Left which shapes the party’s policies.

  1. Now that some democrats feel safe from the radical Liberalization of our country they speak. It’s too late now. Far too many kids have been poisoned by the transgender rhetoric from the Left that destroys kids and their families.

  2. Gee, that’s brave….after the election is over and the Democrats are licking their wounds over a spectacular azz-whooping by Trump. This has only been going on for years now. Where was this introspection before November 5, 2024?

    1. They live in their own bubble, read their own press clippings, and follow the instructions given to them by the machine– until a Trump wooden clog gets thrown into the gears.
