Stop the War: Trump to Call “Cunning” Putin with Demands to End Ukraine Conflict Before Inauguration

President-elect Donald Trump is moving with speed to end Europe’s worst conflict in nearly eight decades, which has put the world on the brink of World War III.

Trump’s former Russia-Ukraine negotiator Ambassador Kurt Volker told the Kyiv Independent that the incoming president wants to end the war before Inauguration on January 20th.

“I think he’s going to make a phone call to Putin as quickly as possible and tell Putin that he needs to stop the war, that the fighting has to stop, and that there has to be peace,” Volker said.

“Putin will say ‘I need this, I need this, I need this.’ And I think Trump will say, ‘No, you stop the war.’”

The former negotiator also disclosed learning of discussions about Ukraine’s NATO membership and approval of using long-range weapons to strike within Russian territory.

Nonetheless, Trump has expressed his opposition to escalating the Russian-Ukraine war and sending American soldiers to fight and die in Ukraine. Thus, those claims can only be taken with a grain of salt or could be part of Trump’s great negotiation plan.

Meanwhile, Trump has also confirmed that calling Putin was on his agenda.

“I think we’ll speak,” Trump told NBC News. Putin also said he was waiting for a call from “couragous” and “manly” Trump.

During his campaign, Trump promised to end the Ukraine War immediately after taking office to stop the loss of lives on both sides.

“I want the war to stop,” Trump has reiterated.

With divulging details, Trump has confirmed that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was among dozens of individuals the returning president called after his historic comeback.

The Ukrainian leader also congratulated Trump on his landslide victory and promised to work together towards “peace through strength.”

Zelenskyy also noted that his country was “interested in developing mutually beneficial political and economic cooperation that will benefit both of our nations.”

While Democrats accuse Trump of being a Russian stooge, the former president has taken drastic measures against the Kremlin to protect Western interests and undermine Russia’s ability to wage war.

Against Europe’s protests, Trump slammed the brakes on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline between Russia and Germany that would have allowed Moscow to export more gas to European countries to finance his war machine ahead of the Ukraine Invasion.

“I ended the Russian pipeline. It was dead. He [Biden] comes in and approves it,” Trump said.

Similarly, while Ukraine’s NATO membership and long-range strikes into Russian territory seem counter-intuitive, Trump is an ardent negotiator and could use various means to force “cunning” Putin to negotiate and end the Ukraine war.

According to Volker, “Putin is the most cunning and wily opponent you could possibly have because he has no issues with lying, deceit, cheating, attacking, killing.”

Thus, “if you want to stop the war, if you want peace, as Trump says that he does, then what you need to do is convince Putin that it’s going to hurt him.”

The former negotiator said Trump perceives Biden as a “very weak president” and thus, Trump has to project power and “show some strength” to make Putin end the Ukraine War.

Other tools in Trump’s negotiation arsenal include increasing America’s oil production and flooding the market with cheap gas to undermine Putin’s war budget.

Trump will also directly confront Iran and realign Saudi Arabia’s loyalty. Despite U.S. military support for  Riyadh, Saudi Arabia has drifted under Biden and joined the BRICS union of nations headed by Russia and China to confront “American domination.”In worst case scenario, Trump could seek a freeze on current frontlines and demand a demilitarized zone observed by European allies, according to the Wall Street Journal sources.
