Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth sat before the Senate Armed Forces Committee on Monday to answer their questions before the full Senate votes to confirm him.
Hegseth, a former Army officer and Fox News host, faced a barrage of questions from Democrat Senators on a number of topics.

Hegseth was asked about possible retaliation and discrimination toward left-leaning members of the military if he were appointed Secretary of Defense.
He responded with a story of how he volunteered to serve as security at President Biden’s inauguration but was denied and “identified as an extremist” because of his Christian tattoo.
Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillebrand’s unhinged screeching rant at Hegseth for his views on women in combat roles in the military.
Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin calls out Senators who show up drunk to vote and cheat on their wives.
Senator Mazie Hirono questions Hegseth about drinking on the job, slurring her words and sounding drunk herself.
And finally, the biggest laugh of the hearing was reserved for Pocahontas herself.
Senator Elizabeth Warren though she caught Hegseth in a “gotcha” moment, but quickly realized she was wrong when the room erupted into laughter (at her).
