Trump Decimates Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg after “HACK” Judge Schedules “Hush Money” Sentencing 10 Days Before Inauguration
A New York Liberal judge has scheduled Trump’s sentencing for the politically motivated lawfare “Hush Money” conviction on January 10, ten days before his inauguration.
Trump’s legal team had requested that Judge Juan Merchan dismiss the charges based on presidential immunity, which he declined.
“This court finds that neither the vacatur of the jury’s verdicts nor dismissal of the indictment are required by the Presidential immunity doctrine, the Presidential Transition Act or the Supremacy Clause,” Judge Merchan wrote.
In April, a New York court found President Trump guilty on all 34 counts related to the “Hush Money” payment to Stephanie Clifford, popularly known as “Stormy Daniels.” Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had accused Trump of fraud because the payments were recorded as legal fees.
However, the judge guaranteed that Trump would not serve time behind bars for the felony convictions and allowed him to appear virtually at his sentencing. Seemingly, the sentencing serves no other purpose except to humiliate the incoming president and overshadow his inauguration.
Courtesy of the judge’s conveniently planned sentencing, the Leftist media will definitely remember to inform Americans that the sworn-in president was “recently sentenced for 34 counts of felony fraud.”
Meanwhile, President Trump went scorched earth on the hapless prosecutor on his social media platform Truth Social.
“D.A. Alvin Bragg never wanted to bring this lawless case against me. He was furious at the way it was handled, and especially angry at MARK POMERANTZ for his behavior, and what he did. Ultimately, the Biden/Harris DOJ forced Bragg to concoct anything to embarrass TRUMP.”
Trump has now sued Merchan and Bragg on Monday over the judge’s denial of his presidential immunity motions.
Former New York Prosecutor Mark Pomerantz led the probe under former D.A. Cyrus Vance but resigned in 2022 after Bragg took office due to the new D.A.’s initial unwillingness to charge Trump.
However, Bragg changed his tune immediately after taking office, seemingly after coming under pressure from the Biden administration to charge Trump.
“We have had available to the office additional evidence that was not in the office’s possession prior to my time here,” he said.
However, Trump said Bragg’s appalling conduct paled in comparison to “what the CORRUPT and TOTALLY CONFLICTED POLITICAL HACK Judge did, and is doing, on this sham trial.”
“I even have, STILL, an Unconstitutional Gag Order where I am not allowed to speak about the Judge’s highly disqualifying Conflicts of Interest.”
Trump’s conflict of interest claim stems from Judge Merchan’s daughter working for the Democratic party, especially the Harris-Walz campaign, from which she received tens of millions. She also helped Democrats raise $93 million from the case, suggesting that Judge Merchan could be personally interested in the outcome of the case.
In August, a New York mid-level court of appeals refused to quash Trump’s Gag Order even after he was convicted. However, that did not prevent Trump from accusing the soft-on-crime judge of fabricating the facts to justify a conviction.
“The Judge fabricated the facts, and the law, no different than the other New York Judicial and Prosecutorial Witch Hunts.”
Meanwhile, New York Democrats continue to antagonize the incoming president with a flurry of lawsuits, with the state Attorney General Letitia James vowing to continue pursuing Trump’s businesses.
The incoming president criticized the weaponization of the justice system in New York, claiming it was the reason that businesses were fleeing the state.
“That’s why businesses are fleeing New York, taking with them millions of jobs, and BILLIONS OF DOLLARS IN TAXES.”
Nonetheless, Trump’s historic victory and the legacy media’s downfall prove that Americans still approve of him regardless of how the Left strives to demonize him. Subsequently, his sentencing so close to his inauguration will flop like other witchhunts close to the election did.
