Trump Rings Bell at NYSE After Being Named Man of the Year
It’s been a good day for Donald J. Trump.
This morning, the President-elect rang the opening bell at the New York Stock Exchange.
He is the first president to have the honor since Ronald Reagan in 1985.
This comes on the same day that Time Magazine honors Trump as the 2024 Person of the Year.
After his landslide victory over Kamala Harris, which included Republicans winning the House and Senate, the honor seemed almost inevitable.
This marks Trump’s second time as the Time’s Person of the Year.
He won the same honor in 2016 after his first presidential victory.
It has been a long road back for the former and future president.
He has been impeached and arrested by his political opponents.
They repeatedly called him “Hitler” and “a threat to democracy”, eventually leading to two assassination attempts.
The Person of the Year title seems like a fitting end to a wild 2024.
There’s no limit to what Trump can accomplish in his second term, which begins in just over 30 days.
Happy New Year!
