Trump Trolls Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Designates Him “Governor of the 51st State”

President Donald Trump has continued to troll Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, branding him the Governor of America’s 51st state.

“It was a pleasure to have dinner the other night with Governor Justin Trudeau of the Great State of Canada. I look forward to seeing the Governor again soon so that we may continue our in-depth talks on Tariffs and Trade, the results of which will be truly spectacular for all!” Trump wrote on his Truth Social platform.

Trudeau had flown to Trump’s Mar-A-Lago near the end of November after the incoming president threatened to impose a 25% tariff on all Canadian and Mexican products until the illegal immigration and fentanyl crisis were conclusively resolved.

Trudeau admitted that Trump’s tariffs would destroy Canada’s economy, to which Trump noted that if the country cannot survive without ripping off the United States of $100 billion, it should consider becoming the U.S. 51st state.

Then then posted an AI generated photo of himself standing on a mountain with a Canadian flag, captioned “Oh Canada!”

Trudeau did decide to get Trumpian on one issue recently in announcing cuts to immigration – though this is just him reversing the damage he’s caused in the first place.

The Governor of the 51st state says he intends to reduce population growth in the next two years to maintain a sustainable pace. He, however, asserts, without evidence, that increased immigration saved the country from a recession after the pandemic. “After two years of closed borders, we need more people, more workers, fast. So we brought in more workers. It was the right choice. It worked. Our economy grew…  we avoided the worst-case scenario: a recession.”

Yet, Trudeau’s economy was so week that even the Biden economy outperformed him – and that’s saying a lot.

Canadians still struggle to find jobs. Three months prior to September 2024, Canada created one job for six workers who joined the job market. And despite how he wants to justify mass immigration in the first place, Trudeau himself must know that it was a net negative, or he wouldn’t be reducing it.
