My Respect: CNN’s Interview with Sinaloa Cartel Member About Trump Backfires, Internet Claps Back

The left is quickly running out of groups it thinks are oppressed by the Trump administration, to the point it seemingly sympathizes with a terrorist organization.

Far-Left media outlet CNN recently aired a segment featuring a member of the notorious Mexican Sinaloa Cartel to express his opinion about the Secretary of State Marco Rubio designating the group as a terrorist organization.

The Sinaloa Cartel is the largest drug trafficking organization in the Western hemisphere, thus responsible for most drug-related deaths. On February 20, 2025, the U.S. Department of State designated all international cartels, including Sinaloa, Tren de Aragua (TdA), and MS-13, as terrorist organizations.

“According to the Trump administration, you are a terrorist,” CNN reporter Isobel Yeung said. “The cartels have been labeled a foreign terrorist organization. What do you make of that?”

Ironically, the cartel member had more class than many on the left who take every opportunity to demonize President Trump despite everything he does to protect Americans.

“Well, the situation is ugly, but we have to eat,” the alleged Sinaloa Cartel member said.

Seemingly, the reporter did not get the answer she wanted and thus, asked follow-up questions to strike the right note. However, even the bloody Mexican Sinaloa Cartel, against which the Trump administration has declared war, does not hate the president as much as the left does.

“What’s your message to Donald Trump, if he’s watching this?” she asks.

Surprisingly, he acknowledged that Trump was doing what was best for his people, despite his illicit business being affected.

“My respect. According to him, he’s looking out for his people. But the problem is the consumers,” he replies. “If there weren’t any [American] consumers, we would stop.”

When asked if he was remorseful that people were dying on a daily basis and children were afraid of going to school, the Sinaloa Cartel member lamented the sad situation.

“Of course, things are sad,” he replies. “But well, things are sad.”

Never have I heard Democrats being remorseful for the destruction of property, deaths, and disruptions caused by their Black Lives Matter riots, Tesla takedown campaigns, or similar violent leftist causes. In fact, some leftist politicians send cryptic messages seemingly to endorse the violence and make excuses as to why violence is justified.

Meanwhile, netizens went scorched earth on the far-Left network for platforming a terrorist organization, while deplatforming President Trump.

For example, the far left network gave Elon Musk’s SpaceX an almost media blackout when it rescued astronauts stranded for months in outer space, and has given Trump almost complete negative coverage since he took office.

“CNN is the enemy of the people,” political commentator David Freeman X’ed.

“Not the answer the Communist News Network wanted,” tweeted another X user.

“Hilarious: CNN Can’t Get Mexican Cartel Member To Bash Trump,” another user noted.

“CNN didn’t expect a Sinaloa drug cartel member to have respect for President Trump.”

Seemingly, the left is more concerned with the opinions of everyone else, including those with criminal backgrounds, except law-abiding American citizens. Democrat politicians flew to El Salvador to secure the release of an alleged MS-13 member, who is not even an American citizen, while doing almost nothing to free U.S.-born citizens abducted in Venezuela and Gaza.

Additionally, numerous polls show that most Americans want people who entered the country illegally to be deported, biological men kept out of women’s sports, and the irreversible transgender medical and surgical mutilation of minors banned.

However, the corporate media rarely reports on these issues, but instead seemingly focuses on the deportation of violent gang members as the most pressing issue for most ordinary Americans. Now, they have just reached a new low by trying to make Americans worry about the opinions of drug cartels, only to blow up in their faces. Interestingly, the cartel member was wearing a “Joker” hat, which accurately describes the network.
