Fired: Joe Rogan Wants Rachel Maddow’s Job if Elon Musk Buys MSNBC
The world’s richest man and the world’s most famous podcaster could shift one of the most notorious “Fake News” leftist media outlets, MSNBC, right.
As netizens continue to pressure Musk to buy MSNBC, the billionaire meme lord is hinting at the possibility of follow through. He recently posted a seductively dressed young woman representing MSNBC, teasing a priest representing Musk, captioned, “And lead us not into temptation.”
With Musk acknowledging the temptation to buy MSNBC, the billionaire memer continues to welcome ideas to make the network successful.
Joe Rogan, the host of the world’s most popular podcast, the Joe Rogan Experience, asked for one of the network’s prime slots, the Rachel Maddow Show. The host of the self-titled show was very vocal in pushing the debunked Trump-Russia conspiracy to rig elections.
Musk was responding to a tweet claiming that Comcast, MSNBC’s parent company, was reportedly putting the network up for sale. The telecommunications giant is shedding cable TV networks to focus on the broadband business.
“The most entertaining outcome, especially if ironic, is most likely,” Musk X’ed.
Rogan responded, promising to match Maddow’s propaganda and outfit to keep the Leftist propaganda going.
“If you buy MSNBC I would like Rachel Maddow’s job. I will wear the same outfit and glasses, and I will tell the same lies,” Rogan replied to Musk.
Maddow recently signed a new contract with the network despite her appalling ratings and the network’s plummeting popularity. She reportedly got a $5 million cut to make $25 million per year. She seemingly cried at the prospect of Musk taking over MSNBC and replacing her.
The Rachel Maddow Show, which averaged about 1.4 million viewers, has lost 41% of its audience, including 50% of the prime demographics of 25-54, which averaged about 236,000 viewers before the election to just 118,000 post-election.
Benny Johnson’s executive producer, Alex Lorusso, posted a video of Maddow emotionally breaking down at the prospect of losing a job, captioned “Elon Musk Posts Dangerous Meme.”
However, Lorusso later clarified that the video was just a joke (one may have noticed that the font on the chyron doesn’t match MSNBC’s).
Nonetheless, Musk assured Rogan he would get the job should he decide to buy the network.
“Deal,” Musk replied to Rogan.
Other netizens, including popular conservative commentators, weighed in on the issue. Jim Hanson, Chief Editor for Middle East Forum and former Special Forces Weapons expert warned of a Liberal meltdown.
Similarly, the two-time New York Times bestselling author, Carol Roth also chimed in, asking for a slot on ABC’s talk show ‘The View.’
“I’d like to throw my hat in the ring for a panelist spot on ‘The Normal View,’” she replied.
Another X user suggested firing Maddow first. Musk fired 80% of Twitter employees when he acquired the microblogging platform in 2020.
While Musk’s anticipated acquisition of MSNBC remains speculative, it mirrors the series of events resulting in Twitter’s takeover.
If Elon does buy it I’ll work 80hr weeks, and more, to make it rake in (in your best Carl Sagan voice) Billions and Billions. You can be far Left/Right but don’t gaslight the audience like 99.99% of the Hosts/Producers currently are. You have to have a really low opinion of your audience to blatantly lie to them every day.
