Arkansas Sisters Beg for Bail Money After Destroying Charlie Kirk Memorial on Camera

Two women from Bentonville, Arkansas, were arrested after allegedly destroying a memorial honoring Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk on the steps of the Benton County courthouse. The incident occurred on September 17 and was captured on video by a passerby.

The memorial, which had been set up with candles, letters, and signs in Kirk’s memory following his September 10 assassination at a Utah Valley University event, was torn apart by the sisters.

The video shows 23-year-old Kerri Rollo and her younger sister, 22-year-old Kaylee Rollo, kicking over candles, ripping up signs, and yelling at the individual filming them. At one point, Kerri is heard saying, “He lived as he died, promoting violence.”

Local officials condemned the destruction.

Benton County Justice of the Peace Joseph Bollinger told 40/29 News, “Everyone has a right to be able to express their freedom of expression. But what the issue is, is when you trample on someone’s memorial, the human act of grieving. You’re not just trampling on their freedom of expression, you’re trampling on the memory of a person. You’re trampling on our Benton County values.”

The sisters were later arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief. They were released on $22,500 bond.

According to the Daily Mail, the fallout extended beyond their legal troubles. Kerri lost her job at a local restaurant following the incident, while Kaylee’s boyfriend ended their relationship and asked her to move out of his residence.

The pair also set up a GoFundMe page seeking $18,000 to cover legal expenses.

The description on the fundraising page claimed they had been “doxxed, harassed, threatened, and fired” in violation of their First Amendment rights.

“After the recent events Charlie Kirk’s death, my sibling and I are being doxxed online and my sibling was fired from their job. This is direct violation of their first amendment rights and unconstitutional. UPDATE: MY SIBLING AND I WERE ARRESTED FOR THIS PROTEST. WE HAVE BEEN THREATENED, DOXXED, HARASSED, AND FIRED. PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING FOR LEGAL COUNSEL AND COURT FEES,” the post read.

The GoFundMe page has attracted criticism, with some donors contributing small amounts in order to leave critical comments about their actions.

The situation also drew reaction from the family of Kaylee’s former boyfriend.

His mother, Lacy Christian, explained to local media why she asked Kaylee to leave her home after the incident.

“Kaylee has lived in my home now for over a year, and I have never once cut her down or not allowed her to have the beliefs that she has,” Christian said.

“However, I will not allow someone living in my home to be OK or celebrate a murder, and I will never allow someone to live in my home who is OK with destroying a memorial for someone else.”

The Benton County case remains ongoing.

Both Kerri and Kaylee Rollo are scheduled to appear in court to face charges stemming from the vandalism of the memorial.

  1. Lock them up, throw away the key. The fact that your absurd actions, intentionally destroying a site that honors his life and causes he fought for. Your shame can’t be quantified except for a great deal of incarceration for your actions. A long time to think of what you did and why? Justice should be served to you too low life specimens of human decay, I look forward to you two put a way for your stupidity.

  2. First Amendment rights ? Your right to wave your arms ENDS at the other person’s nose. Fired, evicted, shunned, for being uncivilized. Victims of consequences. I suggest $1000 fine, each. 90-day jail time — suspended. Two years probation. Now, go out and live among people, who hate you. BTW, TPUSA people will likely help them.

  3. I’m embarrassed and ashamed that the braindead scumbags are from Arkansas. But maybe they aren’t from here and just moved to our beautiful, proud state, they’re probably from Illinois or Minnesota.

  4. Goonies generation

What is with the arrogant gen z scumbag insulting the dead and thinking there’s no retribution for their actions? Plus when war breaks out there’s nobody that’s going to defend the social media thumbs up junkies

  5. I thought GoFundMe does not allow soliciting funds for criminal cases, as was apparently enforced for Kyle Rittenhouse, remember? How can these even have a GoFundMe page for their “legal” fund? What’s good for the goose is good for the gander, or does GoFundMe really make policy based on the politics of the defendant?

  6. It’s a lot cheaper to enter a guilty plea. As has been stated and restated, you have your right to speech but others have the right to respond as they will and that includes the rights of private employers and private persons to disassociate themselves from you. Free speech does not give you the freedom to destroy property that belongs to someone else. It’s just unfortunate that these are only misdemeanors and I ask the prosecutor to look into the fact that they had to breach the curtilage of the building with the intent of committing a criminal offense to, perhaps, boost this to a felony.

  7. If there is a First Amendment issue here, someone PLEASE point it out to me.
You are not permitted to yell “Fire” where there is none.
And you cannot wreck stuff that is not yours.
No job. No lodging. Where do I send my penny for their troubles?

  8. communism has invested and worked hard for a hundred years to constantly change minds.

There is now a “red army” on the streets and these two are part of it.

antifa has been the street organization of communism in MANY countries.

The largest terrorist organization is international communism and it must be so designated and acted upon.

  9. the First Amendment reads: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Where does it say you can not be punished by your friends, family, employer or society for your acts and words? Your acts were not peaceful. your words and actions were intentionally disrespectful, and you have been judged by your “peers” in society.

  10. It begs the question of why these two would do such a thing ? Why would they even bother ? I occasionally see stuff I don’t like. I don’t try to destroy it. I just shake my head and move on.

And, they are wrong about the 1st amendment. There is no 1st amendment violation at all. The government did not try to censor them based on what I read in the article. They can say and/or do whatever they want to as long as they are also willing to deal with the consequences of their behavior.
