As Democrats continue to support illegal aliens and anti-ICE rioters, a shocking report details a 700% surge in attacks on federal ICE officers.
It follows Democrats publicly inciting violence against them. In June, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries stated that the identities of all ICE officers would be made public. “This is America. This is not the Soviet Union. We’re not behind the Iron Curtain. This is not the 1930s. And every single one of them, no matter what it takes, no matter how long it takes, will of course be identified.” — Jeffries. In May 2025, San Diego City Councilmember Sean Elo-Rivera shared a photo of an ICE officer with the word “Terrorist.” California Democrats have also sponsored a bill to “dox” ICE officers, putting their lives at risk by exposing their identities.
“Tampon” Tim Walz even compared ICE officers to the Gestapo. “Donald Trump’s modern-day Gestapo is scooping folks up off the streets,” Walz said. “They’re in unmarked vans, wearing masks, being shipped off to foreign torture dungeons, no chance to mount a defense, not even a chance to kiss a loved one goodbye, just grabbed up by masked agents, shoved into those vans and disappeared.”
While Democrats have not explicitly called for the attacks on federal ICE officers, the implication has been clear.
“What they see as an almost constant demonization of ICE officers from both the media and politicians,” stated FOX News Channel’s border correspondent Bill Melugin.
“And now, brand new data shows that ICE officers are facing a nearly 700% increase in assaults when compared to the same time period last year.”
Citing DHS data, the Emmy Award-winning investigative journalist said 79 attacks on ICE officers were recorded since Trump returned to the White House, compared to just 10 the year before.
“These can range from physical assaults to slashing of tires and vehicle ramming and other kinds of physical interference,” he added. While no hospitalizations have been reported, attacks on federal officers inhibit their ability to detain suspects and enforce immigration laws.
The Department of Homeland Security blames radical left politicians from sanctuary cities and states for the attacks on federal officers.
DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin blamed Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Governor Gavin Newsom for making excuses for violent agitators, some of whom have targeted ICE officers.
Other Democrats, such as unhinged Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), have defended ongoing anti-ICE riots as peaceful and blamed Trump. “That includes right here in Los Angeles, where federal vehicles were pelted with rocks and stones as they left a protest area last month,” Melugin continued.
On May 19, 2025, Democratic Party’s Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-New Jersey) was charged with allegedly assaulting a federal officer during the infamous storming of the Newark ICE detention facility. McIver later disclosed that she did not expect to face federal charges in connection with the incident.
Others accused of assaulting ICE officers include suspected Tren de Aragua gang member Gabriel Hurtado-Cariaco, who was charged with the attempted murder of an FBI special agent. Linet Vartaniann, the wife of an Iranian national, was also accused of threatening a federal officer.
Dozens of protesters, including a 17-year-old minor, also face federal charges related to attacks on federal agents.
