Former Vice President Kamala Harris charged into the 2026 midterm battle Thursday with a warning that Republicans are trying to cheat, but her chosen slogan quickly became the bigger story.
Harris borrowed President Donald Trump’s familiar phrase, “too big to rig,” and conservative critics wasted no time calling out the imitation.
The recorded message, posted on X, urged Democrats to flood the polls with roughly two months remaining before the elections.
Harris declared, “We are two months away from the midterms. Get out and vote. Let’s get everyone out to vote. They are cheating.”
She then doubled down on the accusation while lifting language that Trump repeatedly used during his successful 2024 campaign.
“They are trying to cheat, and we have got to turn out in big numbers and be too big to rig. I’ll see you out there,” Harris added.
The phrase was closely associated with Trump as he pressed voters to deliver a victory large enough to overcome any potential election interference.
Hearing it repackaged by Harris, complete with an accusation aimed at Republicans, immediately struck conservatives as more than a little familiar.
Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for Turning Point USA, delivered a blunt assessment of the former vice president’s sudden slogan swap.
“Kamala Harris has never had an original thought in her life,” wrote TPUSA Spokesman Andrew Kolvet.
The popular End Wokeness account focused on the heavily edited presentation and Harris’ unusual delivery. “47 seconds. 15 jump cuts. She must be high as a kite,” wrote popular account End Wokeness.
Conservative commentator Shawn Farash also accused Harris of borrowing directly from the president she unsuccessfully challenged in 2024.

Harris connected her turnout pitch to the ongoing legal fight over Trump’s order addressing mail voting procedures.
She pointed to a Supreme Court ruling Monday that permitted portions of the administration’s policy to move forward while litigation continues.
The Supreme Court did not decide whether the contested restrictions are lawful.
Instead, the ruling allowed parts of the order to advance temporarily, leaving states and other challengers free to continue pressing their claims in lower courts.
By Thursday, another federal judge had temporarily blocked the United States Postal Service from enforcing the new mail ballot requirements.
That decision set the stage for yet another courtroom fight as federal agencies, state officials, and political groups prepare for November.
Legal expert Gene Hamilton explained that the ruling gives the administration room to proceed with certain elements of the order while the dispute remains active.
States could return to court as agencies attempt to implement the policy before voters cast their midterm ballots.
Harris argued that Trump’s approach could make mail voting more difficult for some Americans.
She also complained that Trump votes by mail from Mar-a-Lago while supporting tighter rules, portraying that contrast as evidence that his agenda is designed to restrict access.
Republicans have framed tighter mail ballot standards as basic election security, not cheating.
After years of Democrats dismissing conservative concerns about election procedures, Harris now appears eager to sound the alarm while borrowing one of Trump’s most recognizable lines.
The irony was impossible to miss, and social media users made sure it did not slip quietly past the public.
