Liberals Stunned By New Poll About the Country’s Direction

Most Americans are more optimistic under the Trump administration, according to a new report by Uncharted Territory. The poll found that 50 percent of Americans believe the country is heading in the right direction, compared to 45 percent who hold a pessimistic outlook.

Among GOP learners, three-quarters (75%) believe the country was heading in the right direction, compared to a fifth (21%) who think otherwise. However, Democrats maintained a pessimistic outlook, with barely a third (31%) believing we are on the right track, while almost two-thirds (65%) believe the country is heading in the wrong direction. More men (57%) were more optimistic about the country’s direction, compared to just 44% of their female counterparts. Between May 18 and May 22, more Americans (48%) were optimistic about the country’s direction than those who believed we were on the wrong track (47%), marking a 20-year high.

However, that trend was broken much earlier between February 16 and February 20, 2024, when the Rasmussen poll first recorded more Americans upholding an optimistic view. Within one month of returning to the White House, Trump had reversed a 20-year trend of most Americans believing we were on the wrong track. “For the first time in over 20 years of polling, Right Direction EXCEEDS Wrong Track today,” Rasmussen’s Mark Mitchell tweeted in February.

Meanwhile, Trump’s White House Secretary Karoline Leavitt took a victory lap by rubbing it in the face of liberals that Americans were, for once in two decades, optimistic about the country’s direction. “Our country is clearly heading in the right direction under President Trump’s bold leadership,” Leavitt noted. “For the first time in history of Rasmussen polling, a majority of Americans believe the country is on the right track,” she added. “It’s unsurprising, because the president is fulfilling the promises he made to the American people.”

She added that Americans were beyond the leftist media’s brainwashing and could independently assess the country’s direction. “Despite all the doomcasting from the media, Americans are growing more and more optimistic about the economy under this president,” she continued. “Consumer confidence surged in May, with the biggest monthly jump in four years, smashing expectations.” The same liberal media that will try to convince Americans that the shift in perception was “small” will not tell you that change was a 20-year high and itself is experiencing a credibility crisis. “Nearly half of voters believe the news media are biased in favor of Democrats, and most Republicans think it’s impossible to hate the media too much.”

“Despite all the doomcasting from the media, Americans are growing more and more optimistic about the economy under this president,” Leavitt continued. Liberals had attempted to convince Americans that Trump’s tariffs are hurting the economy. However, most were able to see beyond the lies and maintain their optimistic outlook. “Consumer confidence surged in May, with the biggest monthly jump in four years, smashing expectations,” she continued.

  1. These polls are run multiple times with varying questions and changing sample percentage to get the result or as close to the desired result as the customer, DNC, wants it. The people that run the polling companies have a knows set of people that they can rely on to get their desired results. It is not about finding out where people stand on the political issues. These are mostly push polls to get certain groups of voters enthused or discouraged or to push a political narrative.

Was the right direction much higher than the 75% that was reported.
