“Low IQ” Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett Loses Bid to Become House Oversight Ranking Member

Unhinged Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s gamble flopped after failing to nab the highly coveted House Oversight Committee ranking member position. Crockett seemed to believe that extreme anti-Trump sentiments and racebaiting would encourage Democrats to select her for the position. However, reality soon dawned on her after realizing she did not have enough votes to proceed, forcing her to step down.

“It was clear by the numbers that my style of leadership is not exactly what they were looking for, and so I didn’t think that it was fair for me to then push forward and try to rebuke that,” Crockett told reporters, according to the New York Post.

Democrats later settled for Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) to replace the late Rep. Gerry Connolly (D-VA). Crockett promised to be a team player despite “people being disappointed,” and congratulated Rep. Garcia.

“Congratulations for being elected Ranking Member of the House Oversight Committee,” Crockett tweeted. “The work of this committee has never been more critical. Let’s get the American people the accountability they deserve.”

Far-left “Squad” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) also considered vying for the position, having previously lost to Connolly after a 74–131 vote. However, she withdrew her candidacy after realizing that the caucus still preferred seniority over incompetence.

“It’s actually clear to me that the underlying dynamics in the caucus have not shifted with respect to seniority as much as I think would be necessary, so I believe I’ll be staying put at Energy and Commerce,” AOC said, according to the far left news outlet Politico.

“I think the result will largely be the same at this point.”

Unlike AOC, who read the room and withdrew before embarrassing herself, Crockett doubled down on her ambition and began soliciting support, claiming that she was made for the moment.

“Crockett has told other lawmakers that she’s ‘made for the moment,’ the people said, an apparent reference to the desire among Democratic voters for more forceful resistance to President Donald Trump,” Politico reported.

“… knowing that our oversight powers are broad, I’m ready to shine a light on the very dark things taking place in our country under this administration,” she added.

“These are not normal times—and this cannot be a business-as-usual moment,” she tweeted.

“Our country is in an existential crisis driven by an out-of-control Executive with a flagrant disregard for our Constitution, our way of governance, and our very way of life as citizens of a democratic republic,” her manifesto stated.

However, Connolly had backed the 70-year-old Massachusetts Congressman Stephen Lynch, whom he had selected as the interim leader during his medical absence. With Connolly’s blessings, Lynch also pursued the position, but his bid was unsuccessful.

Ultimately, the Democratic Caucus settled on 47-year-old Garcia, who is much younger than Lynch but more experienced and less unhinged than AOC and Crockett.

AOC also fits well in the Energy and Commerce Committee where Democrats prefer a more radical fanatic to agressively promote their Green New Agenda. Her election to the House Oversight Committee would have triggered another election, further complicating the party’s balance of power.

Meanwhile, Garcia also promises to continue working against Trump’s America First agenda and advance various progressive causes, in the name of checks and balances.

“We will hold Donald Trump and his Administration accountable for their corruption — and work to make our government more effective for the American people,” he said.

  1. Crockett’s wigs have bed bugs! True political fact. Those wigs have evil spirits that minister to the wearer.

Jasmine Crockett won’t be “Made for the moment” until she’s voted out of office and moves back to the “hood”.
