Rep. Maxine Waters Shamefully Backpedals, Admits Protests Were Violent, Still Blames Trump

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA-43) further undermined her nonexistent credibility after contradicting her previous assessment of the anti-ICE LA riots. Rep. Waters initially claimed to have been on the streets and witnessed no acts of violence, including from those “out of step” and ignoring their calls for peaceful protests.

“Don’t miss the point, you all,” she initially stated. “Don’t think that somehow, because they called out the National Guard, there was violence. There was no violence. I was on the street. I know.”

She also claimed that the protests were peaceful because “nobody was shot, nobody was killed.”

However, that assessment quickly changed as Americans began to see the real situation on the ground in Los Angeles. However, like other Democrats who refuse to take accountability for the violence being condoned and incited by the left, she blamed President Trump.

“He started this. There should be no violence. He should not continue to support violence. They should not be edged on and, you know, provoked, and anyway, and that’s what the President of the United States is doing to exert his power, and to show that he’s in charge, and to show that he’s going to get the numbers that he promised to get, to get people deported.”

Of all the lying Democrats, Waters is having a difficult time trying to capitalize on the anti-ICE riots for political gain. She recently had a door slammed in her face after she attempted to enter the Los Angeles Federal Building.

“Hello, hello, hello, Congresswoman Waters,” she feebly said. “I just came to use my congressional authority to check on [inaudible].”

“I need to get in,” she protested while unsuccessfully trying to grab the door.

During the incident, the radical Democrat accused authorities of arresting a union leader, whom she feared could be deported.

“Today, I came to the Metropolitan Detention Center to exercise my constitutional rights as a Member of Congress to check on the safety and conditions of SEIU California President David Huerta, who was arrested by ICE,” she wrote.

She also pleaded with the security forces not to use force on demonstrators who she said had the “freedom of speech and protest.”

“All people deserve to be treated with dignity and due process under the law. Peaceful, nonviolent demonstrations are critical to protecting our constitutional rights!”

However, she conveniently left out the part where everyone needs to follow the law, including immigration laws, before they can demand protection from the same.

Any American who has had a glimpse of the protests can tell they are anything but peaceful. Anyone other than the Democrats can easily make that assessment.

In 2020, popular Sheriff Grady Judd of Polk County, Florida, schooled “slow learners” on the difference between peaceful protests, violent riots, and looting. Five years later, Democrats have yet to learn how to exercise their freedom of speech and protest without burning their own cities to the ground.

According to President Trump, LA would have burned down again had he not deployed the National Guard.

Rep. Waters has been recorded charging crowds to target people in restaurants and gas stations.

  1. Maxine will say anything the democrats promote for talking points. Without thinking.
She may not be capable of independent thought. But she would have made a better VP for Biden.

  2. It will be a great day in America when Maxine Waters assumes room temperature. The sooner, the more painful it is for her, the better.
