The Trump administration is developing a searchable national citizenship database system that will enable state electoral officials to verify the legal status of individuals registering or already registered to vote.
The move comes on the heels of the U.S. House of Representatives passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to ensure only U.S.-born Americans can vote during elections. However, that bill is currently deadlocked in the Senate, where it requires 60 votes to pass, with Democrats likely voting along party lines to allow nefarious illegal immigrants to vote.
Meanwhile, the database aligns with Trump’s March 25, 2025, Executive Order 14248, “Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections.” It directs the Secretary of Homeland Security to allow states to access the appropriate systems to verify the citizenship status of people registering or already registered to vote.
“[T]he Secretary of Homeland Security shall, consistent with applicable law, ensure that State and local officials have, without the requirement of the payment of a fee, access to appropriate systems for verifying the citizenship or immigration status of individuals registering to vote or who are already registered,” it stated.
It also instructs the independent Election Assistance Commission (EAC) to demand proof of citizenship on federal forms for mail-in ballots. We recently reported on how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) planned to rig the 2020 elections for Joe Biden through mail-in ballots by creating fake U.S. driver’s licenses to create counterfeit mail-in ballots. Many blue states have allowed illegal immigrants to obtain driver’s licenses without proof of citizenship, inadvertently helping the CCP campaign to rig the electin for Biden.
In April, three Red states, Iowa, Idaho, and Missouri, found over 300,000 ineligible voters in their voter rolls, including illegal immigrants who voted during the 2024 presidential election.
During the same time, Iowa prevented 2,186 non-citizens from registering to vote or casting their ballots after utilizing the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements (SAVE) program, which fetches data from its Department of Transportation systems. The state could likely have prevented more illegal aliens from voting had its request to access U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) data been granted.
In May 2025, the USCIS announced it would coordinate with the Social Security Administration to provide data to the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements service, putting Biden’s days of blackbox voting rolls behind us.
During the cleanup exercise, Idaho also removed 144,121 ineligible voters, including illegal immigrants, by implementing the state’s Only Citizens Will Vote Act, which prohibits non-citizens from voting.
Meanwhile, Trump’s executive order reiterated that states are obligated to “safeguard American elections” in accordance with federal law by safeguarding against “dilution by illegal voting.”
In March, the Department of Government Efficiency uncovered an alarming rise in the number of Social Security Numbers (SSNs) issued to illegal immigrants close to the 2024 presidential election. Besides allowing the illegal immigrants to collect social benefits, the SSNs also allowed them to vote.
By comparison, 270,000 SSNs were issued in 2021, while 2.1 million illegal immigrants received government-issued IDs in 2024.
Former DOGE head Elon Musk stated that the surge in the number of SSNs issued to illegal immigrants was hardly accidental, but was intended to change the election map of the United States.

Meanwhile, Democrats claim that voter fraud by illegal immigrants is rare, despite many blue states failing to conduct extensive cleanup of their voter rolls. Many Democrat-led states have already signed amicus briefs in support of the lawsuit challenging the Trump administration’s voter ID requirements.
Nonetheless, radical leftists claim that President Trump created the database without informing them — potentially in violation of the Privacy Act.
First step might be for federal government to compare state voter registration lists to identify redundant registrations and use FBI or military to verify.
There is a mistake in this article, The SAVE act legislation does not restrict voting to just “US-Born” Citizens, All US Citizens can vote, born in the USA or not. Legal US citizenship is the gatekeeper.

This was and still is.. INTENTIONAL BY BLUE STATES. They are knowingly pushing bloated census numbers and driver licenses to illegals who then register to vote with a wink wink from the corrupt blue state DMV’s.
