NBC News anchor Craig Melvin apparently believes that the words “biological male” and “biological female” are so radioactive they require a televised trigger warning.
During a recent broadcast discussing the Supreme Court’s decision upholding state laws protecting women’s sports from transgender intrusion, Melvin issued a disclaimer so over the top it could only come from a network terrified of offending the alphabet lobby.
He solemnly told viewers that NBC was using those terms only because they came directly from the court’s ruling, as if the phrase were some kind of hate speech rather than basic scientific reality.
Melvin’s tone was one of cautious detachment, the kind a hostage might use when made to read a note at gunpoint.
He practically begged forgiveness for quoting the justices at all.
The Court’s ruling, a victory for fairness in competition and for Title IX protections, acknowledged what every honest person already knows.
Males have innate physiological advantages that make competing against females catastrophic for women’s sports.
Conservatives applauded the decision as a long overdue return to sanity, while media elites like Melvin responded as though the Supreme Court had just committed an unspeakable act of linguistic violence.
This is the same Craig Melvin who back in 2020 lectured his audience that the network could not use the word “riot” to describe the violent chaos engulfing Minneapolis after George Floyd’s death.
Despite buildings burning behind reporters, NBC stubbornly insisted on calling it “mostly peaceful protests.” That level of narrative control was breathtaking then, and now it seems NBC is applying the same logic to biology itself.
The spectacle of a national news anchor issuing a verbal purity test before uttering words that describe objective, verifiable facts says everything about the state of our press.
Any deviation from the approved ideological script sends them into immediate panic. They cannot even report a Supreme Court decision without signaling loyalty to the woke mob first.
Melvin’s disclaimer reads like a parody of media absurdity.
His carefully repeated explanation that “biological male” and “biological female” appeared in quotation marks in the decision sounded more like a plea for absolution than responsible reporting.
It was as though he was hoping activists lurking in NBC’s HR department would not come knocking after the segment.
The left’s demand that Americans ignore biological difference in the name of “inclusion” has reached comical levels.
It is not intolerance to note that male athletes possess faster muscle recovery, higher bone density, and increased lung capacity compared to females.
It is simply biology, something reporters like Melvin apparently find too terrifying to acknowledge without corporate warning labels.
More than that, the spectacle reveals how deeply woke ideology has infiltrated mainstream journalism.
The very journalists who once prided themselves on speaking truth to power now apologize for repeating facts observable to anyone with a high school education.
Their job used to be to inform the public.
Now it is to indoctrinate them.

Viewers remember the now infamous scene on MSNBC where reporter Ali Velshi stood before a wall of fire and insisted riots were not “generally speaking, unruly.”
The denial of reality could not have been more blatant. The same network is now denying basic biology with a straight face. Melvin and his colleagues seem determined to prove that absurdity is NBC’s most consistent product.
Perhaps the most ironic part of Melvin’s performance is that he openly admitted the phrases came from the nation’s highest court.
So NBC is not merely correcting conservatives; it is effectively correcting the Supreme Court of the United States for daring to acknowledge human biology.
That takes the arrogance of liberal media to new heights.
The idea that describing someone as a biological male should require a disclaimer tells you everything about the cultural rot consuming the corporate press.
These people fear Twitter mobs more than they respect the truth. They are so invested in ideology that accuracy has become the enemy.
Biological reality is not up for debate, regardless of how many network anchors clutch their pearls over it.
The fact remains that biology determines sex, and that fact has profound implications in sports, science, and law.
Americans know this, even if NBC pretends otherwise.
Let the woke media issue as many warnings as they want. They can tiptoe around the truth forever, but reality will not bend to their feelings.
Women’s sports deserve protection, not fantasy.
The Supreme Court recognized it.
The rest of us already knew it.
And no amount of network disclaimers can cancel the truth.
